NRL 2018 Round 3 - Canberra vs Warriors TEAM LIST
Simon Mannering 2017 3

NZWF Official thread for the 2018 Round 3 Warriors team list and discussion...

The official team list will be posted as soon as it becomes available...

Lil Papa out for 4-6 weeks with a ligament strain, awesome news. ACL would have been a tough one to take. Also say Beale is due round 9.. Thought we were told round 2-3.

I'm expecting Pulu to the second row, and Paasi joining the bench.

If Paasi is named over Vete will be interesting. He was strapped up like a mummy on the weekend. Looked very sluggish at times, missing some easy tackles and not really punching the line at all. Personally thought Vete and Satae went better, plus Vete has a sick slug on his upper lip.

I reckon Pulu start, Gelling bench has been with team for the last two rounds wouldn't surprise me. will be interesting to see who does take bench spot

When I heard SK being interviewed by Radio Sport over the weekend, he was asked about replacement options for Papa....he mentioned " Albie played in the ISP and pulled up well....Agnatius had a run as well...."

In that order....so let's see.....

Wouldn't be surprised to see James Bell in the mix. Been the better forward last two games in ISP...
That would be interesting... ideally you wouldn’t want to play Pulu the full 80 and the other forward options aren’t edge players.
I like the look of Bell although, admittedly, he wasn’t too successful in first grade last year.

Neither was Bunty lol.

But as others have said he is light but has the stamina to tackle his ass off...

Changes made for trip to Canberra

The 27-year-old, who’ll be making his 48th career appearance this week, played the last 73 minutes of the 20-8 victory over his former club Gold Coast after coming on for the injured Papali’i (knee) last Saturday.

Hmmmm...

Pulu in the run-on 13 makes a lot of sense.
Cook has been largely redundant and so bringing Jazz on to the bench makes some sense strategically.
He may cover 9 if required (I hope not) but can be an extra body in the forwards unlike Cook. It would be nicer if he was in form (according to those who saw ISP).

I have always rated Paasi and hope he is physically up to it. He should be in our top 17 every week if fit.

Overall, not a bad team at all.

Wow Kearney made significant changes to a Winning team...just hoping Agnatius is physically well enough.

Jaz:

SK talked him up large as a high output player....I forgot to mention that...

Good side....I suspect we will see Jazz and Bully on the field at the same time as per last week...Kearney mentioned that option when he ran Cook at Hooker and put Bully to the back of the scrum.

Very reminiscent of the Role TL played for the Kiwis under SK.

At least we know Paasi is seen as a serious 1st grade option....that bit is a relief....I just have concerns about the timing.
