Just on Roger Tuivasa-Sheck on being out of position with the Rapana kick in field. I think that Fusitua should of showed more urgency to get to that kick. He was probably 10 metres away before it landed. Not bagging him but probably a bit more focus and attention to detail during those critical moments could change the game. But hopefully Val Holmes doesn’t score a Bazillion tries this weekend The Fusitua top try scorer 2018 regular season!!

The backs were not humming but to be fair Fusitua is still the best winger in the world, we will have trouble replacing Shaun Johnson and we have a forward pack that actually goes forward.

Winning ugly is way better than losing with style. If anybody had thought we would be seeing comments like this back in January we would have been laughed at, and the side clearly are going to improve.

Credit to the Raiders. You'd have thought they'd have nothing to play for except Mad Monday.....but the fucker's pushed us all the way (helped by us going full retard on a few occasions).

Big up's to the turnout. The full house would've upped the intensity giving our young fella's an insight on what they can expect in the finals series.

Massive wraps to our much maligned centres. Both had one moment of insanity but damn they we're strong all game, Hiku particulary ball in hand, Kata on defence...….warts and and all Hiku and Kata are our best centres in the club.....period.
Kata needs to stop thinking he is Konnie when he scores a try, the game isn't about him, drives me nuts

Yeah definitely. Just look at how much they have improved this year. It’s cleary a way better attitude than pervious years. I’m just nit picking on Fusitua. I wouldn’t replace him anyone past or present or code!

Hiku can be brilliant but infuriatingly error prone. His first try they were watching him to pass to Fusitua and he went through himself. So next time they ignore Fusitua, wrap up Hiku and he offloads brilliantly to Fusitua. Yet towards the end of the game, when we need to be steady and no errors and he allows a soft one on one strip. He is as typical a Warrior as you could get.

Tbf there were 3 players in that tackle- that was the worst call of the night and could've cost us the game.

Can't believe I'm still reading criticism of how much Shaun Johnson is paid. Personally, I wouldn't swap him for any other half in the comp.

As for Hiku, I can recall a time when I got a lot of shit on here for daring to suggest his defence was ordinary. However he has to be our right centre, his post contact metres and combination with Shaun Johnson, Tohu Harris and Fusitua pisses all over what Beale brings to the table even after allowing for his tackling deficiencies.

If I was Warriors management then I'd be shopping Beale around to free up cap space to resign Luke.

League: Lucky New Zealand Warriors need better in NRL playoffs

I am not Michael Burgess;), but he sees it as I do. Also, and again, I am sure Ken Maumolo could have been penalised in the dying minutes for tackling a player in the air. Sure it was just a grab but it was a tackle and his feet were off the ground. There is no guarantee Canberra would have scored from that but there was no guarantee we would have held out either. Mind you we tend to bounce back after playing ugly so watch out next week.:)

Reminded me a bit of an old fashioned attritional test match that used to be played on heavy pitches, a bit scrappy with a few handling errors and some head shots. Almost lost it at the end but good to see the team can hang on and grind out a win, last 10 minutes were a bit ropey.

As an aside the commentators of St Helens v Wigan have just passed on their best wishes to the Mad Butcher who they believe is in hospital (?), said he's a great friend of the programme and of RL in this country and wished him a speedy recovery.

Team did well with All distraction.. Canberra stayed in the game with our errors

I don't think anyone denies that last night was painful to watch. We did everything we could to gift the game to the Raiders.

Whoa, I wouldn't go that far. Beale is a class player. If Bully wants to go he can IMO. Sure he has been brilliant this year and even won us some games, and there is nobody as good as him in the wings, but he isn't Heyzeuss superstar either.

OK compared with Milford and Ashley Taylor from the Titans he is probably a bargain, but please ladies and jellybeans he is not the second coming of heyzeuss. If you compare him to somebody like Gareth Widdop it gets the mind thinking. Widdop doesn't have the brilliance of Shaun Johnson, few have, but in game management just ask Mary how good Widdop is right now.

I agree with Mick Burgess in that we were bloody lucky last night not to be having a wake this morning.

It wasn't painful so much as scary. The Raiders didn't deserve to be in that game at all, they were shocking. There was a lot of pure class, especially from Shaun Johnson and Hiku, and I know there were three in that strip from Hiku but it was a bloody loose carry. I hope SK was making a rational decision to rest Blake Green, that would give me a lot of hope.

Widdop started the season incredibly well however he did nothing in the weeks leading up to his injury and the Dragons overall form mirrored that.

The Dragons overall form sure went off the boil when he got injured though. I am not saying he is better than Shaun Johnson. I cannot think of a more brilliant runner with the ball right now than Shaun Johnson but there are better kickers and game managers.

The surprising thing is the refs are usually good with calling these. I thought there may have been an interpretation change about when someone peels off. Even then that one most likely should of been a penalty.

We got some luck with a few calls. But since we have been playing better our luck has changed. Some of that due to guys being more committed to put themselves in a position for a call to go their way.

Good to see some of the naysayers in the media backtracking on statements they made earlier in the year.
