Haha video ref just saved the Dragons with a horrible call. Apparently he can see if it brushed the players arm when the cameras can’t
i watched the same replay and thought it was off his arm, it deflected. Right call imo. Also remember that while we see one screen he has 7 to look at and he can control the speed himself

Man, I'll be so fucked off if the first week winds up with Penrith vs STI because neither of those shithouse teams deserve to make week two while either the Broncos or Warriors bow out. Hopefully Manly either pull off a win or just keep things competitive to avoid the Broncos leapfrogging their way to 5th.

Do we have to wait until tomorrow's game before we know who we'll be playing next week?

And when do the NRL release when and where it will be played?

Jarred Maxwell still screwing the Warriors even from the comfort of the bunker... brushed the forearm my ass!

I’d definitely prefer them or Broncos, Panthers are too random.

End of the day we gotta face who we gotta face but if I had a preference

1. Dragons
2. Panthers
3. Broncos

Just think the Broncos have some momentum behind them atm. Plus people have been writing him off somewhat but Bennett is the master at preparing a Bronco's team at finals time....and at Suncorp....scary....., I wouldn't bet against that old bastard.....I have a feeling they'll go deep

Yeah, we won't know until after Manly/Broncos. Manly basically hold the key to our fate.

There are five scenarios that I'm 90% sure are correct.

#1: Manly upset the Broncos

If this happens, we travel to Sydney (ANZ or Allianz, not the Gong) and face the Dragons. This is my preferred result as the Dragons look utterly dogshit.

#2: Broncos beat Manly by 1pt

That would put our F/A at the same as the Broncos. Then it becomes a tiebreaker. I believe the Broncos would win this as they would have more points scored. That means we face Penrith in week one (ANZ or Allianz) this is a pretty good result, but I think Penrith are more dangerous than the Dragons

#3: Broncos beat Manly by less than 23

We would still face the Panthers, Broncos are Home vs Dragons

#4: Broncos beat Manly by more than 23 but less than 32

We would still face the Panthers, but Broncos are away vs Dragons

#5: Broncos beat Manly by more than 32
This is the worst possible result. Not only do we have to travel to Suncorp to face the Broncos, but one of the fucking Panthers or Dragons are guaranteed to make week two, even though they collectively suck. Meanwhile one of the two form teams of the bottom half of the top 8 will be eliminated.

This Titans/Cowboys game is turning into a goodie. Both teams are up for it in front of a big crowd.
Tried to get tickets a week and a half ago but was already sold out.
Great way to send the legend JT off!

It feels like we are destined to meet the Panthers for better or for worse. But agree the Dragons would be great to play at the moment.

According to the following post on Reddit made 3 years ago the tie breaker is percentages For divided by against. The Warriors right now would win that. And finish above the Broncos.

It goes to percentages, ie. your points scored divided by your points against."

Likely result is we are going to be playing the panthers in Penrith. And sadly for us, this is almost a zero chance of a win. Nothing will be going for us in Penrith, the NRL wants western Sydney in the finals, the NRL and Sydney papers love the coaching saga.

You can guarantee all 50/50’s will not go our way, you can guarantee all loose carries will be called as strips, and you can guarantee the penalty count will be against us.

It doesn’t matter that Penrith aren’t the better side. They will get the rub of the green next week and this Warriors side isn’t mature enough to weather that. Which is what happens when you spend season after season as the competition whipping boys.

I’ve said it before....we only have ourselves to blame. Lose to sides like the Titans with a couple of rounds to play and you really don’t deserve anything more than where you end up. For us that is likely 8th.

Allianz. When was the last time they played a final at Penrith?

Too right they do.

We beat the Dragons when they were top of the table, with a lopsided penalty count, possession count and tackle count. I think they can handle it. What they cannot do is clock off if they get ahead, and I think they have learned from that last game.

if Manly lose by less than 23 we play Dragons at Allianz right? I think we should relish that

The thing is, we won't play them in Penrith. NRL mandate is that finals games must take place in the region's nearest largest venue. They won't have as big of a home field advantage as you'd expect. I think there will be a lot of Kiwi expats there.

You also have to recognise their COMPLETE lack of form. Sure, penalties will help. But I don't think it's worth being as utterly pessimistic as you are being. Since that utter fuck up against the Titans we've beaten two top 8 sides. We've also beaten all three of our possible opponents in our last meetings.

I'm not saying it's a guaranteed win or anything of that nature, but I don't think it's worth writing us off before we've had a chance to knock it on from the kick off.

Besides, fuck it. We made the finals and as unbelievable as it is, we finial the comp only 2pts off the minor prem (no chance in reality, but looks good on paper). For a team we all expected to finish 12th or worse before round one, I'm still very happy with our season, in spite of a few missed chances and occasions where we didn't fucking show up at all.

Didn’t realise it would be Allianz. That would literally be the only saving grace.
