General NRL 2018 Round 25 - General Discussion

Gotta beat the best to win it so bring em all on
This is more like the attitude.

Guys, we finished 2 points from 1st position, anyone imagine that at the start of the year??

Statements like we scraped into the 8 are total garbage.... Its absolutely anyone's title top take out.

This is what last November was all about. There will be a huge Warriors fan base. Season starts here... let's go guys! Yeeeeehaaaaa!!!!!

Absolutely agree, scrapping into the eight is rubbish talk. This seasons ladder is unprecedented in the entire century of competition.

No one knows what it means. No one knows who is better than this team or that. It would not surprise me to see the Dragons roll the Broncos, after all the wishing for them as an opponent...the teams are that close...and the form is so fickle...we moan about losing to easy beats, yet every side in the top four including the minor prems has lost to some of those easy beats (Especially the Raiders).

Beating the Raiders was an excellent form guide. They played well against us. They have looked better than all of the top eight sides in their last handful of games. Lethal.

We Smashed the Panthers, we have won four of our last five games. We are in form. Ready to go.

Bring this shit on, we are as good a chance as every team in this....it is that even.

The Warriors have an eight day turn around, just what the Doctor ordered after the bruising encounter V the Raiders. We are rough house ready to go after heavy sparring.

The winner of our game plays the loser of roosters sharks

So when we win do we then play at home?
If we win.

Hopefully the Roosters Sharks game is like the Warriors Raiders game, lots of big body contact (Likely) and the loser is the wounded beaten up left overs (again Likely). That Roosters Sharks game will be a heavy contest,

One of the disadvantages of the current system is that the top four loser is likely to have come away from a tougher contest than the bottom eight winner.

The other thing I like about facing one of those two sides is we owe both of them payback. Sharks for the forward pass and Gallen speech....Roosters for 2002 and the thrashing this year at home.

Getting back to the Panthers.

The big problem they have is they are prone to turning over the ball and their defence is suspect.

They can put trys on you though.

They are very much like the Raiders with a little more polish in the halves and they have a 6th gear that kicks in late...in other words they are super fit (Unlike the Raiders fat team) and come home over the top of their opponents.

My prediction is that the Warriors who are red hot in the first half of games and often post all their points in that half...then go into a protecting the lead shell...will capitalize on that Panther turn over ball....and get that lead....and will prove when focused, one of the teams capable of strangling the Panthers out of a late come back.

The Panthers are a bastard of a team to face in the finals....and so are we.

True to all of that.

First time in a LONG time too for us too to experiencing this 'desperate edge' in a finals environment.

It will be new for some, but we've contracted in some finals-hardened, experienced players who might be the difference against the cats.

Green, Blair Harris and Beale bring that. Add the other newcomers Paasi and Pulu to the mix along with fast improving players like Tevaga and our brilliant back three, Fusitua, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Ken when hes in the mood - weve clearly got a damn good team.

Those aforementioned players could be the catalyst for ultimate victory.

Am I dreaming?

PS Gavet needs to get angry! Someone yank his hair to bring out the Hulk!

I was at the Broncos game today, they didn't care who they were facing, and nor do we. As we've all seen, a close finish at the end if the season, and top teams have been beaten by the bottom. We have beaten the Panthers and must do it again. And beat everyone else. Backs to the wall, we're travelling well this season, let's use that, big crowds and support and we'll do this!

Realistically most of us know we don't have a shits show against the top 3 and the NRL want the Broncs in there by any means possible including what appears to be blatant cheating at times, which will make it even sweeter when Solo stuns the world with the winning pass to Kenny in the GF, but don't let me curb your enthusiasm

It appears Broncs v Sharks is the desired outcome in terms of how games are being refereed.
However in regards to having a shot we’ve beaten the Roosters, Rabbitohs, Panthers,Broncs and Dragons, if not for a bullshit call would’ve beaten(and finished above) the Sharks, and we were pretty close to getting the Storm on our most recent game. I’d say especially this year everyone has a shot
