Gutted Beale won't play.

Silver lining in the Beale injury cloud is if it brings Pulu on to the bench. I hope talk of Pulu's injury is overstated.

The other upside is that Hiku can make better hit ups when just soldiering our ball out of our own half.

Only way we win is if the following conditions are met:

1) Johnson and team play with Lino the same as Green and the team play with Lino when Johnson is out. In the last Storm match the brains trust decided that Lino wasn't to be trusted which left us one dimensional and easy to close down from a play making perspective.

2) Jazz goes through a game without any errors or turnovers.

3) Peachey does not have a stunner at 6.

4) Nathan Cleary continues to have trouble finding his rhythm he had last year.

Agree with you on Hiku carrying the ball, for that part he's been one of our best all season but when big Billy Kikau and Waqa Blake are running it back down his edge I'll be watching it through my fingers.

I wonder if he’s made of glass sometimes

Or just bad luck

Or both

Gets injured way too many times from what I can.. all in different areas....

Speedy recovery my friend

Indeed I hate players who are injury prone and if I were a club would trade them away.

Hamstring tears sound preventable as well with proper stretching.

Somehow I think Peta will have a blinder and shut us all up. Out to prove a point.

Or, Kikau & Co will run him into the ground and score at will. And he'll join Huddersfield Giants next week on a 5 year contract. Where tackling isn't a required skill set.

I'll be hoping they're both gassed from defending 18 sets in a row without possession with 6 x 1st half tries down that side pushing Fusitua out front of the try scoring stats with a 1st half hat trick plus 2 more in the 2nd half in a massive points differential improving 60 point hiding.

Ok I know we aren't getting more than 20 pts. Sorry for getting moist about that.

Dunno if I like reading how you get moist thinking about a 20 pt margin but I am liking your positivity. Panthers gave up 14 errors and 7 penalties in their last game and 17 errors and 13 penalties against the Titans before that, if we can capitalize on half their mistakes you may not be far from the mark.

They're certainly not playing their best footy at the moment, a top 8 side would've easily put them away based on those past two performances, IF we bring our best game tomorrow night I've no doubt we'll win and possibly by some margin.

I just get this feeling Penrith will be really up for this game.
I'm predicting a warriors win by less than 8.
Have to keep them out if our half and pressure Cleary. Not sure anyone else has a kicking game for them.

Welcome back Tohu Harris....btw can u make Hikus tackles too....ta.

Harris will be a bit undercooked aerobically (is that a word?) so not expecting the usual 120% but it won't be for lack of commitment.
As for the rest of the team, I get a bit bemused sometimes by the broken record comments about who is picked and who isn't. Barring injury some of the ones that aren't picked will be for good reason I'm sure and Kearney has to make the most of who is left. We're still 2-3 players short of a really good, consistent team with loads of character and good habits, with skills and mental toughness beyond being just big boppers, smash'em bros, turnstiles, or sookie bubbas. Unfortunately it's still a work in progress. Like you all I'll be expecting better next year or else :sour:
But still really hoping for a miracle this year lol

There are always fans that judge the Coaches ability by whether they chose the players they like or not. I'm not criticizing them, it makes the world of Forums go round...just making an observation.
There has been much written about what we are not privy too in selections.

All I know is that when Kearney had his preferred selection round one of the competition, they beat the biggest pack in the ruck, and they tackled like demons, ran beautiful lines, and they looked like a real deal team.

They did something similar to hand the Dragons their first loss.

They did it in Sydney against the Star studded Roosters.

In between those same players have gone away from the game plan (Fk all of them are running decoys, plenty of them are missing one on one tackles) I refuse to blame the coach for that....the Coach gave them the tools that work....their inability to use them is 100 % on the players.

Sacking coaches is the worst failure of this club, I believe Kearney will prevail.

I don't like some of his picks but I figure that in truth,,,when the players do what he says....no matter who they are...they tend to win.

Would like to see Maumolo start to run back on the inside of Kata when he gets the ball because he never seems to give it to him on the wing but if Kata can drift wide and take a few defenders with him then pop the ball back inside to a rampaging ahhhh fuck it hes never gonna pass whats the point.

Before season kickoff I just wanted us to win more games than lose - was sick of 6 painful years of watching drawn out meaningless games as the regular season headed towards its conclusion. Well my wish is going to happen regardless of what pans out now, but I'm far from happy. With Green not playing tomorrow night I'm a nervous wreck.

Have not been more interested in a Thursday night game all year than tonight's one. Go Manly!
