i know, i know. I think if he doesnt get another shot in the next few weeks he will probably go cold and not make it back even in the playoffs, you would have to say he might look for a starting gig somewhere else. I would like to see him back with Tohu Harris helping out. I thought he did alot of good for fusitua.

The right edge scored two tries on the weekend. That is sufficient and doesn't warrant any tinkering IMHO.

fair enough, ive just got a feeling against better opposition beale doesnt create enough to really threaten, i understand the defensive element, hikus pros are feeding the wingers, and his carries are strong. I agree keep beale but i think hikus window is closing soon and if we ride with beale and realise we need a more attacking centre then we might miss out. Maybe i jut miss him somehow despite his stupid play.

That 50 game mark for Roger Tuivasa-Sheck has come up out of nowhere, good on him.

Pretty happy with that lineup, was impressed with how Blair went last week.

This has to be the healthiest our team has been at this stage of the season in a long time, with only Tohu Harris Harris to come back in to a full strength 17.

The other thing that came to me yesterday was how many of our players have solid finals experience and either made or went very close to making Grand Finals :

Gerard Beale
Adam Blair
Blake Green
Tohu Harris Harris
Peta Hiku
Shaun Johnson
Issac Luke
Simon Mannering
Roger Tuivasa-Sheck

For a club who hasn't made the Finals since 2011, having those players with big game experience in key positions is such a huge asset.

Yes but we do have a lot of young forwards who have never had a taste which scares me. They could just be shocked into submission

This like every other game hinges less on who is picked and more on what attitude and mindset our team applies.

With a killer aggressive smart dominant attitude we can win comfortably.

With a positive attitude we can win.

With a lazy we deserve the win without earning attitude we will get shat on like how the gold coast shat on us.

Well according to SK , he has Hiku on the bench for a few reasons.
Like Anthony gelling was earlier in the year and Beale was for a game or two.
It's Injury cover for the backs - Kearney isn't a fan of playing backrowers in the centres, it's giving players an opportunity(albeit sometimes a small one.) And it's also about putting some pressure on our incumbents , probably one of our weakest positions on field.
Given most teams usually just play another 9 at 14 I'm all for it. As we have jazz , which gives us 3 forwards and a utility back on the bench.

Harris back, Pulu cleared. Usual team Beale and Kata centres. Best news is Maloney is out until week one of the finals, which makes our chances the following week dramatically increase dramatically. Warriors actually favs 2 weeks out, id expect odds to tighten with aussie respect towards warriors consistency (and fair enough), but i think aside from the loss to them, our last 5 weeks have gone rather well, could be 4-1 if we had just a bit more on offense to offer against the storm, which is where we need to start getting creative. we cant match the heavy weights for points scored in a year. Hiring Latrell Mitchell and Euan Aitken would certainly make a big difference for our wingers and overall offense. In reality land, somebody like Will Chambers to go with Beale would be nice, and start coaching Kata the hooker trade. He knows how to hold onto the ball and run, now just to teach him when to pass lol. and his defense in middle of the park would be awesome. hes probably pd for pd one of the strongest in the nrl, certainly in the trunk and legs.

Hiku and Jazz is just a waste of 2 ICs to me. Lawton can do both of their jobs and another forward. Im shocked with the intensity and lack of mistakes Lawton has made hes not pushing for regular IC role. Heck he could fill in for a forward at a pinch. Jazz yes makes lots of tackles. but if we fill our squad with players with minimal offensive intensity we will just go back to the old warriors, I think Ah Mau signing will become one of those players and wasnt a fan.[/QUOTE

Wouldnt say that with maloney out. Panthers already spanked us without him and cleary. Dangerous game for us !

True but Lawton covers more positions and has a lot more intensity. 3 tries in his 2 games. they guy really deserves a go replacing jazz and 3 forwards on IC imo. what we have always lacked is what players like Lawton and Rapana have, playing every game like its your last intensity.

Imagine with Maloney out, the Knights do us a solid and down Penrith and we beat the doggies handsomely. Then tigers take care of Dragons. We have a real chance of making the 4, but sharks and dragons should win their final 3, which means its going to come down to FnA which is not in our favour. who knows both panthers and storm could lose 1-2. again all those close losses this year plaguing us in september. we really need the offensive prowess to finish off teams, too many games scoring zilch in the second half.

I think we should do the doggies by 20 but given they are all out to avoid the spoon and how the warriors lose games the should have covered, its a hard one.

The Aussie style. Our forward pack only has that when the leaders are on the field. That means we could take anybody on in the mood or get dicked if we are on the rags. The upside is with only a few games to go we could upset.

Watch from I think the 28 minute mark. I used to have a lot of time for Brett Kimmorley as I viewed him as a fair commentator but I think his comments about us are way off. It was a nice, controlled game from us against the Knights. I also didn't think SJ had a bad game- his kicking game in particular was instrumental for our field domination. I think sometimes Aussie commentators make cliche comments about us because they just can't be fucked to watch our games.

we are a different team this year

best away record in the nrl and when we used to lose to sides we should beat we have only dropped points against the boys from the GC

if its a dry hard and fast track warriors by 20

throw the ball around, use some of the big units we have out wide and our hot stepping captain !
