Need to change rules. If ref sees on replay that original call was incorrect they should reverse the call on the spot

Union got into a bit of a murky position with that one and went away from it. What tends to happen is the home ground controls what is on the screen and will only show footage that benefits the home team. They also tend to reply stuff the ref missed in backplay- again slanted towards the home side

Have to say this Penrith/Canberra game has been a cracker.

I usually like close game where the points need to be earned but also good to get game like yesterdays where a side needs to show some guts in defense for a long period of time. Or games like the two today where sides are going try for try; just when you think a side has the game wrapped up the other side comes back.

This kid is a talent.
The commentators took the words from my mouth saying Mitchell gets all the plaudits.
But they all forget about Manu who can cause problems as well.
His try will go in the try of the year nominations.

remember they used to do this, but found the players would delay the play until it had been on the big screen so that a call would get overturned by the bunker. Made the game incredibly clunky and would easily be dealt with by the captains challenge, but like putting a 10 m line on the screen the NRL decided not to go this way.

well heres another thought. Those Bunnies turn up like they did the other night and im scared. They looked very very impressive, most dominant ive seen a side play this year. However when GI comes back, he'll throw a spanner in the works as they re balance the side (i hope)

Can they not?

I feel like I remember seeing in a game a call overturned by the ref based on what he saw on the screen and he changed it from the right call to the wrong call.
If I remember correctly it was something like a kick, and the receivers foot on the line, but it's a fuzzy memory so take my words with a very small grain of salt.
