So you think he was getting it right to persevere for an eternity with Hiku being the most deficient defender?Kata is not the only one who can pass to the winger. Hes an imminent threat whenever hes near the ball, so the opposition always number up on him, if their numbering up on him that means theres a gap somewhere that can be exploited. Are there better centers, yea sure, are there any in the warriors. IMO no.
But it doesnt really matter to me, what matters is that in a winning side, one of the players was more worried about being butt-hurt than talking up his brothers in arms. This is the attitude that caused 6 years of disappointment. They need to shake that shit off, deal with it at training and learn to love what opportunities they get during the game. I read to much of the coach dont know what hes doing, hes an idiot etc etc. Fer fuck sake hes not blind he knows what hes got in Kata and keeps him out there to do a job. Given results this year, its my belief that hes getting it right. But if Ken starts bitching and moaning in public, whats he saying in private and how does that affect the rest of the team.?

i think Hiku worked, kinda. I just dont think that right center was his position, when he covered for Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and when he was on the other wing he seemed to work. His attack is good, and when hes the only weak link in the team with Harris at 100 percent beside him, its doable. Personally i thought he might have a role on the bench. However as injuries creep in his defense became an obvious target. Did he keep him there to long. No. the warriors are in the 8, i never thought they would win the comp this year, even though i desperately want to see it. I think if the culture change that he has brought to the warriors required him to support Hiku as long as he did. Then yes im all for it.So you think he was getting it right to persevere for an eternity with Hiku being the most deficient defender?
I think you will find that it was 1 game if early plea and 1 game if found guilty at judiciary- the only difference will be the carryover points if found guilty will be higher (65) as against (35) if early plea
What type of witch craft is this. The referee didn't call it in the match or put it on report. We shouldn't be trawling through game tapes afterwards.
Anyways he is clearly guilty as sin. Yet he has foolishly challenged it. We were led to believe if he pleaded guilty that he would be let off with a telling off/warning/reprimand and no 1 game suspension. Other people who have challenged have had their penalty doubled. Why did we agree to let him make this not guilty plea? He has not necessarily ruined out chances of winning on Friday but he has reduced our odds from 70% chance of winning now to 50%. We really need him off the bench. Foolishness by the warriors.
I think a lot of people give coaches a little too much credit at times. Often i believe ego and stubbornness stand in the way of common sense. Think Ivan with Inu. Everyone knew Inu was a big game player, but Ivan couldnt bring himself to bring him back when we needed his pizzazz. The reverse could be said for Mateo. Was a total lazy-ass leech, but was being paid too much for Ivan to drop him. Many coaches have persisted with decisions long past anything sensible. Its not usually a plan, or a coach showing faith. Thats what Hiku was, and thats what Kata is. Both of them have cost us more than they have given us. For every Kata try, there is a duffed pass to an unmarked winger, and often in the same game, a worthless tunnelling dummy half scoot. Hiku let in 2 tries for every try he assisted in. We are better off with Beale and (insert any name but Hiku or Kata here).
Hiku is just one of those players with a myth and a fantasy attached to his name. He has achieved little of value in his career. Moved around often. The only reason we even discuss him us due to Beale's long injury. If not for that, we would be discussing how his defence isnt up to ISP standard.
Kata has an opportunity to fix his greed. Open up his outside man, and both of them will score more. And throw a long pass from dummy half inside the 10m, and watch the crowd of defenders in front of him as they realise what has just happened.
