Mate with the Missus down the line you just earned brownie points for having a rock solid Alibi....brother you are the Snake....pm me some pointers.

You're Ferris Bueller...
No need to sneak off it was my missus that organised for me to go. I went out and she organised the niece and her friend to organise tickets without asking so I had no choice. She's fantastic, keeps me on a pretty long leeche.

If I went to Hamilton it sounds like I would of missed the game and had to listen to stories from 20 years ago which didn't involve me and would have been the poor guy taking all of the photos.

Maybe you call scrappy something different.
Were you at the ground brother? The reason I ask is that the ground gives a different perspective than on TV. For example a lot of Shaun Johnson's jinking runs might have looked off the cuff but they weren't. He was probing and the others were all in a line across the field in support. Unlike last year there was no risk, no panic, just probing like a good fast bowler waiting for an opening. If Shaun Johnson had spotted a gap he would have been through with support to match. It must have been very wearing on the Titans defence and to their credit they handled it pretty well, except for 4 tries to 1. Lest we forget.

I was at the ground brother and I understand they felt there was no risk but the Warriors will not get through the season on ad-lib footy alone.
I'm not saying flag ad-lib footy thats being non Warriors, I'm saying they need to get the mixture of being disciplined and more direct right.
The ad-lib footy will take care of itself.
Going by Blake Greens article I'm expecting a more Bunnies approach to the game this weekend vs the Raiders.
I also believe if we'd gone into the Titans game with the same game plan as the Bunnies game we would have come away with another 30 point score line.
Dude, I understand ad-lib is Warriors footy and there is no way in hell I would ever suggest they throw ad-lib out.
However, ad-lib alone hasn't gotten us a grand final win to date, we need to get the mixture right.

They had the game won and were on top all the way. Maybe I am wrong but I am sure they have moves up their sleeve that will be used when they really need to.

Their attacking philosophy this year is to create more one on one opportunities, playing direct is going to help them achieve that. I thought they struck the right balance between their offloads and hard running in Perth but went away from that slightly against the Titans.

Blake needs to take more control when the boys are getting excited and get them back on task.

If you listen to the interviews with Leivaha Pulu & Blake Green Scrappy is a word that was being used and at times it was.
Not saying it wasn't exciting to watch just saying they can probably tidy areas up and I believe they will.
Kearny says the Warriors will get better and I believe he means this will happen once they get that mixture right.

I'm actually spewing over (change of topic here) is NRL have Canberra as favorites dispite us being 2 from 2
Australia are waiting for our bubble to burst no doubt...

Gentlemen, I have a concern. to quote some movie i vaguely remember.

While i love the dynamic play, except Shaun Johnson sideways running, my worry is can they find the balance between Dynamic and Straight. Or will a further rush of blood to the head push them into full on Warriors ball and the many errors that come with it. Cause honestly i love winning MORE. IMO this is all about Green, Tohu Harris and Blair stop
One funny thing from the game on the weekend. My phone goes nuts with friends telling me I'm on TV being shown in the crowd. Nothing funny there right. I was sitting in the South Stand looking straight up the field, pretty much looking straight at the big screen. I should have been looking straight at myself. I usually tell people I'm quite observant.

At least I had my serious couch coach face on looking at the game instead of having my face covered in source from too many hot dogs.
screen shot or it didnt happen

I watched the game again today and felt exactly how you felt. Bit scrappy at times, perhaps a little bit of disrespect for the fact Taylor wasn't there??

Either way, we don't want to get into a tit for tat offloading dual with the Raiders as that will play right into their hands. If we come hard and fast through the middle, with structured edge attack like in the Rabbits game we'll go a long way in this one. Raiders edges are a huge concern for them atm, so if we make their turnstyle halves make decisions at speed, it should be beautiful to watch.

That may be right but in the Raiders forum at last count they had 10 votes on the outcome. 6 for a warriors win 12 and under, 4 at 13+...

Not a single Raiders fan has them winning...

Well said ... on attack it looked like they are starting to realize just how good they can be but got a bit over excited & put the cart before the horse somewhat

But in saying that it's only Rd2 so it will take some more time to perfect this style, but when they get the balance right they're gonna blow some teams off the park IMO

Balance & consistency is the key
Heard korero that the team had a stomach bug the night before??? and they played bloody hard!!!

I thought it was good to see Roger Tuivasa-Sheck being able to use his footwork and actually make a few quality line breaks like we seen all the time at the roosters, this would have been sweet if it had led to a try...so close -

That break so was good.

The best thing about it is the crowd reaction. Its been a longtime since there has a buzz in air. Last week was the first time in a looooonnngggg time that I had screamed at the TV and jumped up and down.

All is well in Warriorland...

Hi girls.

A few thoughts..

RTVS looks sharp and much quicker off the mark than he has done previously. Has clearly been working on his defence also.
Green and Harris have made a real difference already. Harris in particular looks like a real asset, genuine footballer who carries well, has ball playing ability and makes good decisions. I guess that's what happens when you spend several years under Bellamy.
Shaun Johnson looks like he wants to run the ball again, instead of shuffling it on, as he has been doing for the past couple of years.
Isaac Luke finally resembles the same player that played for Souths and the Kiwis, finally. Let's see if he can keep it up.

Defence and stamina were hands down the most impressive part of that performance. They scrambled well and didn't drop heads even when they made a few retarded errors early in that second half.

Also Kane Elgey didn't score his usual double against us so that's always nice.

Early days, but they're at least playing like they give a shit.

Agree with this 100%.

some offloads were risky and could've involved intercepts......Bunny's game was much better to watch as they played much more direct and much more controlled.

Not detracting from the win is the official attendance correct, just over 14000.

On Television it looked a lot bigger.
Yeah I thought so too. I was looking from the northern end of the West stand. East looked fairly full and West looked almost full, although I could not see above me. Sadly, the South stand was quite barren compared with yesteryear and North had the usual smattering. Maybe that explains it. A lot of people walked in late. I wonder if some people thought it started at 7? And I wonder how many ticket holders did not come at All? Cos presales were good. I thought those alone would reach 18k.

Bruce, I used to understand the obstruction rule but I no longer do as both attackers and defenders are very cute at manipulating this nowadays. Looking at that again the attacking player runs an arc behind, but well away from, his own player who doesn't move. I don't think the 'blocking' player is under any obligation to get out of the way. I honestly think Johnson cons the ref by running into the 'blocker' when the attacker was running laterally.

Anyhow, no affect on the result. Titans were well beaten

He does do it intentionally. Every smart half has in the past. They all know when each other are doing it too. It's the same in many pro sports. If the refs are not picking up offside and obstructions, the player response is to take a swan dive and make it look obvious. But the best ones take it to another level and manipulate the situation to get them out of a shit.

Case in point the Panthers last night Mbye's first try. As Anasta pointed out it would have been no try if Maloney had have faked a fall. And it was unusual of him not to.

I suspect the Warriors told the media they had sold more tickets than they had hoping people thought it would sell out and get tickets.

Classic promoting 101.
It wasn't the media that told me. It was when i was purchasing tickets. I couldn't get good seats unless I only purchased 1. Indicating all the middle seats were almost gone. That was on Wednesday.
