Yes. Cheers to that, he hasn't looked great on the wing.

Even though I don't think he's close to a top 10 centre I would like to see him get another run at left centre, see if he does a better job freeing Ken up with his distribution, his running game isn't strong though.

Afoa and Harris left the field injured. Blair, Ken and Fusitua not playing.

That's five of our best performers right there.

Luke inside the 10, Mannering drops the ball and sharks get away with a forward pass. That kind of luck happens only once a season IMO.

It was still a good effort considering how bad the refs were.

One positive is Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is finally starting to get some broken field action. Very nice. More of that please.

Always liked blustering Bill

EX-NRL referee Bill Harrigan believes the bunker should be able to rule on forward passes in tryscoring plays to avoid instances like last Friday’s blunder in the Cronulla-Warriors clash.
The Sharks edged out the Warriors in controversial circumstances when Edrick Lee dived over in the corner off an apparent forward pass to snatch the game 18-15 at the death.

The touch judge was on the spot but failed to make a call, while the bunker checked the sideline before giving Lee the green light.

Harrigan reckoned the video official at the time Henry Perenara should’ve been able to deny the try based on the pass.

“When you have a replay from a try like that, and in that replay Perenara’s in the bunker looking at that saying that’s a deadset forward pass, my hands are tied, I can’t press no, I have to award a try,” Harrigan told Controversy Corner on the Big League Wrap.

“If that’s a grand final where they win 18-15, their whole season has been ruined on that when we could’ve stopped it.”

i noted his tackle counts are through the roof, maybe he is also having to do more than he is used to?

This.
At Storm he only had to do his job...hopefully won't be too far away when that happens here

Do NOT let the bunker rule on forward passes. That will be an absolute nightmare and cause more issues than it potentially solves.

How? Its so easy, you just put in language like they have in union, “is it clear and obvious that the pass was forward?” that way you only fix up the real clangers like last Friday. If its borderline stays with the refs decision.

They already mis use the bunker for things like interference in the in goal, they send it up as "no try" even when no one is anywhere near scoring a try, just so they can have a think about where it falls on the penalty / sin bin-/ penalty try scale

This is the problem players like Hiku create at the Warriors, someone has to clean up their misses.

You could name lots of players that needed minding before Hiku came along. Mannering used to have the job of papering over the cracks.

You have to factor in that any NRL team is going to hammer the Warriors right edge to take the sting out of its considerable attacking threat....they are somewhat victims of their own success.

I think they’re tying their hands with the “try/no try” thing. They’re clearly not sure (unless you buy into the KFC conspiracy) so why don’t they just say “can you check the grounding/last pass” etc

Which is why Harris is on the right instead of his usual left side I think...sk had to put someone there who could cover & then some I think.

Because they have tried this before and it was a disaster. You are asking the bunker to rule on a grey area and expecting black and white decisions. It really isn't that much of an issue. There are more pressing things that need looking at or fixing in the game than that
