I don’t see why the Cowboys would be upset. The video ref overturned a couple of wrong drop out calls when clearly their players had knocked on in goal. Taumoloser loses control of the ball upon impact with a defender which is a knock on every day of the week, Feldt was abusive to an official and was rightly penalised, Hess goes back through the ruck over the top of a player trying to play the ball which is a penalty... they scored off the back of a farcical and wrong phantom knock on call against Gerard Beale, and got a late opportunity off the back of an incorrect phantom knock on call against Blake Green after Hess had knocked on three seconds prior.

What on earth are they on about? The reversals, each of which were the right calls? The Taumoloser lost ball on contact which is always called a knock on?
Yet these are the calls that are being labelled "shockers" against the Cowgirls. Cmon, each and every "50/50" call that went against the Cowgirls was justifiably correct, particularly those that happened inside our own in goal. Can the same be said about the "50/50" calls that went against us? I believe not.

Yeah that was ridiculous. Poor Analsta and Parker had money on a quaddie including the Cowboys. That piece of commentary was absurd. The defensive player must not retreat through the ruck. Football 101.

Parker was on the verge of tears when Feldt lost his shit. Loved it when he goes “he was just saying they won’t clear the ruck sir”, and at that exact time they finally show Feldt on screen and clearly he is shouting a number of single syllable four letter words straight at Furrow Brows Perenara. And then he goes on full on misogynistic with “but this is a mans game “. Lol. Be damned with you woman, back into the kitchen.
We see players retreating through the ruck every week. Most weeks there are penalties blown. First time I've heard the excuse the tackler can't disappear, the guy playing the ball can't disappear either.

Parker was also funny on the Feldt penalty. Goes off on it, fair enough we see guys mouthing off every week. Like the other commentators said we don't know what was said. Parker agrees, carries on their line of thinking. Then needs to throw in the mans game and how harsh it was. For all we know it could of been racist or something else offensive.

SPOT ON!
And how many times in the commentary did they mention the good old '50/50 Calls'?

“It’s a mans game”. Lol. Pull out the misogyny card Corey. Bitch back in the kitchen while I call the referee an fn c like a man.

Parker was desperate for NQ to win, he kept going on about their season being on the line.

I think this is probably all down to the Thurston factor. Thurston was a Queensland and Aus teammate of Parker, they a probably friends. Maybe retirement is on the horizon and Parker wants his friend to get the fairytale ending, its going to be the case for many of these Queensland greats in the next couple of years

I was surprised “it’s a mans game” wasn’t followed up by

I'm not talking about the Warriors or winning games, I'm talking about ref performances. Their job is to ref games properly and clearly Perenara can't do that. He needs to be sacked.

Please outline the errors Perenara in your opinion made last night

He turned up to the game.

He was terrible, and its not just this game, all his games he is reffing lately he is whistle happy, he finds errors where there arent any. Normally hes starts with a barrage of penalties but last night he didnt do that at least, he did that later in the first half. The 3 knock ons were bad calls imo, Beale, Green and Taumalolo (the ball never went forward out of his hand, it was knocked out of his grasp backwards)

He is a ref that decides matches

This was always going to be a tough gig. NQLD at home is a big ask. Just look at our record over there. Defence won us that game. Our away record is staggering after the last few years as is our ladder position.

We are a work in progress and this year is a bonus. As long as we put in every week I'm happy. Thought Shaun Johnson had an exceptional game. Very professional and his long game got us out of the crap a few times.

I think the pocket ref might have had some impact.

TBF, I think Perenara has been pretty good in the games we've had with him this year. Maybe not so much in previous years.

Im on a Mannering downer at the moment, he gets the ball but does nothing with it, he will inevitably run it to the line. When the team is going well, and that 2nd phase happens, the team starts throwing the ball around and searching for numbers. With Mannering it ends up being a hitup

He should not be the player to receive the ball in support, he is because he is parked midfield

But Mick Ennis (no that's really his name) says it's so good to have a ball playing back rower in Simon Mannering.

On a different note - what do you think would be a better use of Simon in attack?

1. Catch and run.
2. Catch and dummy but still run.
3. Decoy runner only
4. Walk behind the play saving his energy for tackling, tackling and more tackling.
5. Develop a short kicking game
6. Retire already
7. Drop a few kgs and develop a speedier running game to replace Kata.
8. Other.......

Thank you! If you play the best football you will win. Refs are human and not every call is going to be right. They don't have camera angles or replays. Yes I tell at the refs during the game like everyone else but I don't bang in about it after the game

My 2 year old has learned from watching his father.

He sez Wawwiers is good guys.

Other coloured shirt team is bad guys.

Lellow guys (refs) are stink.

I think hes fine in his role, just play him less minutes so the dynamic players are on the field longer. He comes on at 20mins and never leave the field at the moment

The Beale & Green knock ons were called by the pocket ref who also wanted to put Hiku on report 6 or so tackles after the marginally lifting tackle but Peranara resisted

The video ref agreed with the Taumalolo decision as do I - how often do you see a player tackled go to ground and the ball comes out backwards in relation to the player and they always call it a knock on "as tackle complete"

13 penalties given the way games have been ref'd this year is acceptable. There were 11 in the Thursday night game & 12 in the later game last night so 13 isn't out of proportion
