Really liked Shaun Johnson's game last night,played hard at the line, nothing flash but a good halfbacks game

Some interesting ones in there, we really dug deep in that 2nd half and backed up our errors with solid D.

I'm guessing Most Supports means, most times backing up the ball carrier?? Mannering always seems to be leading that stat for us. Always good to have someone pushing up around the ball, just to take abit of defensive pressure off the ball carrier.

Thurston has been moaning about late hits, and fair enough, stating that it’s not in the Cowboys game. Really? Anyone else notice that JTS gets belted late by Martin after passing the ball to Kata for his try? The ball is well gone and JTS has clearly relaxed with his eyes following play when Martin belts him. No whining from our boy though.

Tough second half for the boys but you've got to admire the way they hung in there to turn the Cowboys away when they were desperate and surging for the last 50 minutes.
A bit disappointing we let them back into it after we should have put them away much earlier but 2 points is 2 points at the end of the day, especially in Townsville which is always a tough place to go to and win.
Roger Tuivasa-Sheck man of the match for me with Johnson a close second.
The refs made some poor calls but no surprises there.
I'll be interested to see if the either Feldt or Hess get cited for going in knees first on Kata when he scored, it's a dangerous play that can easily lead to an injury and shouldn't be tolerated. Hess collected Green in the back the first time we played them as well when Green dived on a grubber near our own line. Not holding my breath on anything being done though.
Rated it a B, almost an A but a few too many errors with ball in hand for that.
Hope all our guys come back from the rep weekend in one piece!!

Had another watch this morning.

I'm real proud of the team. Things don't go your way sometimes and it is how you react that matters.

This team stood up on defense (not for the first time this season) and got the job done.

Our deficiencies are plain to see, we are light on big boppers which allows teams to roll through us but what we are heavy on this year is commitment. That is the only way to turn away wave after wave of Cowboys attack in the redzone.

We no have a league best 6 - 1 away record, bring on the Sharkies.

Im on a Mannering downer at the moment, he gets the ball but does nothing with it, he will inevitably run it to the line. When the team is going well, and that 2nd phase happens, the team starts throwing the ball around and searching for numbers. With Mannering it ends up being a hitup

He should not be the player to receive the ball in support, he is because he is parked midfield

Yeah that was ridiculous. Poor Analsta and Parker had money on a quaddie including the Cowboys. That piece of commentary was absurd. The defensive player must not retreat through the ruck. Football 101.

Parker was on the verge of tears when Feldt lost his shit. Loved it when he goes “he was just saying they won’t clear the ruck sir”, and at that exact time they finally show Feldt on screen and clearly he is shouting a number of single syllable four letter words straight at Furrow Brows Perenara. And then he goes on full on misogynistic with “but this is a mans game “. Lol. Be damned with you woman, back into the kitchen.

Bit of a worry.

I thought it looked like he injured that hammy earlier in the game....probably should have come off, but he ran it out...then it possibly tore when he did it a second time.

Massive loss to our defense and meters if Kata is out....plus his obvious strike power.

Hopefully the news is not dire.

While I was frustrated when Kata dropped the ball, shyte happens, people in pain make errors, ordinarily he is a very reliable finisher.

A win is a win. Johnson was excellent along with the defence, which showed some excellent composure.

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is also growing into a excellent captain, plus his try was all class.

Thank you! If you play the best football you will win. Refs are human and not every call is going to be right. They don't have camera angles or replays. Yes I tell at the refs during the game like everyone else but I don't bang in about it after the game

I don’t see why the Cowboys would be upset. The video ref overturned a couple of wrong drop out calls when clearly their players had knocked on in goal. Taumoloser loses control of the ball upon impact with a defender which is a knock on every day of the week, Feldt was abusive to an official and was rightly penalised, Hess goes back through the ruck over the top of a player trying to play the ball which is a penalty... they scored off the back of a farcical and wrong phantom knock on call against Gerard Beale, and got a late opportunity off the back of an incorrect phantom knock on call against Blake Green after Hess had knocked on three seconds prior.

What on earth are they on about? The reversals, each of which were the right calls? The Taumoloser lost ball on contact which is always called a knock on?

Yeah having just watched the replay I'd say both teams got their fair share of 'average ref calls'… the 'Knock-on' call to Beale was a real head scratcher though… and that one led to a try. Good win but a frustrating watch tbh.

Having said that… I feel like the refs are a top 4 team for sure. I'd almost put money on them to win the GF.
