Really enjoying what Satae is bringing as our 4th prop, would be dissapointing to see the ineffective Lisone come back in. Hes starting to get his FG motor, and looks like he may push on given the chance. Really happy with his defence, solid stuff.

Usually have a good look at the stats, and Bunty rarely misses tackles. What a legend hes turned out to be so far this season.

Issac Luke frustrated the hell out of me with his handling, but also had a few nice grasscutters on Taumalolo when he was rampaging near our goal line - real mixed bag from him.

Lawton put on a nice tackle or two. Great luxury having someone who can slot in anywhere along the backline (or hooker).

Kata... rocks and diamonds!!!

Came across this in Twitter (@jasonnrl):

“That second half defensive effort was like nothing I’ve ever seen from the Warriors.

The Cowboys spent 32 minutes in their half in the second 40.

14 of those minutes were spent inside the Warriors 20.

Warriors spent 2 minutes inside the 20 in the second half.

Unreal.”

Ponga take's Morgan's utility bench spot hopefully. If Slater goes down, Ponga is the same sort of fullback.

They like Morgan re cover for 1 3 4 6 7 and 13.

Ponga doesn't have the same perceived versatility so he might miss out again for Milford.

But I would start him 100%

Turning point in that game and it almost cost us was the Beale "knock on"...changed all the momentum and gave the Cows an undeserved opportunity to get back into the game. The refereeing this year has been nothing short of atrocious.
It was a bad call, but other sides have had similar or worse. There are no easy games in the NRL and the Cowboys were fighting for their season. I did wonder about the Cowboys line speed in the second half but the defensive effort was superb, it reminded me of the Saint George game. If anybody had been offered this position at the start of the season they would have taken it with open arms. This is a different team to last year and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is a true skipper.

So -

The Warriors ran rampant in the first half. We had all the momentum.

Try assist to Peranara which leads to Cowgirls getting on the score board. Momentum shift. Cowboys start to win the arm wrestle.

Second half. Cowboy's pick up where they left off. A good majority of the 50/50's went the their way in the second half also. Warriors hanging by a thread, but did enough to hold on.

Conclusion - while the Warriors were by no means perfect, my view is that the referee's played an active part in the momentum swing. Some of those calls were really, really bad. The sad thing is that we are seeing more and more "bad calls." The standard of refereeing is atrocious, and the NRL, rather than burying their heads in the sand, need to do something about it.

I've said my part about Perenara in the other thread.

Given the circumstances, the boys played well and held tough to get the win.
It was the assistant ref that was coming up with the rubbish calls especially the Beale and Green phantom knock ons. I could hear his fucken weasel voice making the calls to Perenara on the tv. Perenara helped us a couple times with the penalty against Feldt and a couple of no try referrals.
I thought Corey Parker should've had a NQ cheer leaders skirt on with all the pro NQ comments and whinging how the warriors were getting the 50/50 calls lol

Parker is a one eyed, entitled cliche vending machine.

Those ugly wins are so valuable. Even though Henry Perenara was on his usual crusade to try to damn the Warriors to hell for ditching him and his fat brother. That knock on on Beale should consign him to a month refereeing Park football. But it won’t. God only knows what the referees boss watches, given somehow he found a gig for Ashley Klown in State of Choice. That call was a game changer. Of course we should have responded better, but somehow frowny eye brows finds a mystery knock on and creates momentum.

I thought the blokes effort defending the middle inside our 20m zone was terrific. A number of times Adam Blair and Issac Luke came up with massive efforts on Taumoloser. Papalii is very good as well.

I thought Kata was going well, until somehow he bombed that try. I have no idea what he was doing trying to change hands when it simply wasn’t necessary.

Shaun Johnson, some of his kicks under pressure were top drawer. And those hit ups were phenomenal.

Hiku I thought was good. Beale though not so much.

Anyways, two points. Up yours Henry. And Corey Parker and Braith Analstar, I don’t know how much you blew betting on the Cowboys with your biased call, but poor old Corey was beside himself with the Feldt penalty. He had to be talked off the ledge. Dumb merkin.
