Fuck we dodged a bullet with Foran wanting to go back to Aussie.... absolute mud!!
I think we flappn got hit plenty bad enough from it. Not only didnt he F us over with this fake loyalty he sold management but he totally rooted our roster and potential signings along with losing our prior years Rookie of the year and another u21 star half. who subsequently has also turned to rubbish. I said immediately it was a disaster signing and wtf are people seeing in him? The answer, he was NZs 6, you are so stupid AWF. Yet again, I was right, not being arrogant, my point is the clubs culture of being loyal to tbe bitter end needs to get slapped out of the fans that believe in that rubbish. Its professional football not ya family. Sell players for a good price on their way down, ie
Johnson soonish, buy good players for a song on their way up. Foran never fell into any of that. if we were planning to let go of Lolohea or Hingano we should have bought a decent long term 7 and moved
Johnson to 6, sort of like we have now, but again we are letting go of Lino without even doing anything about it. Hes won 2 games for us with his individual efforts points wise and hes contributed to 3 others as a game manager and general old school half back.
I personally think Lolohea did the right thing kicking the ball, there were a lot of defenders sliding out that way, it wasnt a done deal, worst case Tigrs were getting a new set. I agree Thompson for me is a better FB, but IMO lolohea is better than a lot of their backs, he played well and has dont most of the year, I think he needs a place somewhere. Bunji has gone back to throwing one pass per game that he makes it look harder than it needs to be, then goes MIA.
My South Westie mates are pretty happy given next week and how good the Bunnies have been of late.
Cant wait to hear the official SoO blues line up. I like the idea of Teddy at FB, and Tommy to centre, lots say Tommy is a specialist FB, tough tits, hes too good to leave out and Teddy is also a specialist FB, of the two I think Tommy has more ability to play centre. Imagine those 2 and Euan Aitken running off of a 2nd phase play from Cook who has to be the 9. I think back line up is looking darn exciting.
Sharks have finally found a way to score. They werent looking very good in the offensive department. One game and they are 35ish+ and in the 200s.
Warriors get
Johnson back and Lino (until somebody else buys him). So will have more offensive focus and hopefully
Kearney roles out some simple players in motion playbooks for th halves to use. I know its going to get tougher as things get tight, but I really have some belief in
SK due to his apprenticeship coach at the Storm then the Broncos. I think hes probably surprised at how well the players have bought into the playbooks and methods of how to win and how to defend. Now perhaps
SK thouhght it would take until next year to be at this point, but I do think the team is ready to give them more offensive focus which will only enhance our defensive capability.
