Hehe thank you sir, I do ok with my predictions, but that one was rather easy, not so much due to the eveness via the lack of Manly players, but the consistency of the Raiders to make everything as hard and close as possible lol.Tin ass.
Nailed that prediction...

Yep another scrappy game. In all honesty, what are others take on the health of the NRL in 2018? I'm still loving it because of how uncertain results are in the NRL, but:
I'm not sure that the NRL is in the greatest shape at the moment.
- We have seen a lot of laborious rugby league this season. Has there been a single team (bar maybe St George) that hasn't looked woeful at some point? In previous seasons the top four tend to be consistently good all season.
- Is this the least superstars (in their prime) we have seen in the games history? When Thurston, Smith, Inglis, Slater retire who is left? Who do we have in the game that is a potential immortal? Ponga is great but it is his first real year (Ben Barba anyone). Taumalolo is amazing. Addo-Carr is exciting, but a luxury item rather than the out and out heart of a team.
- Is Origin going to be showcasing the best of the best? For me there will be a number of players that would have never got near Origin teams of the past.
It's a tough one, the cap has spread the talent so evenly there are no real standout teams any more. More close games, less champagne RL.
I think we might be seeing the cap take full effect only fairly recently, previously it was rorted all over the place to keep elite teams together, ie. Storm. NRL have done a pretty good job enforcing it, and it seems to be working in our favour this year.I thought about that too, but the cap has been around for many, many years without making teams look this beige. It also doesn't stop superstars coming through.
But yes, even games do tend to be more of an arm wrestle
i wonder how many other people took unders to allow JT to play one more year? I know that the other JT is on 1 mill a year as a prop but he isnt out there 80 mins a game and seems less effective this year as well. So between them thats a lot of the cap tied up in just 2 players.North Queensland coach getting ready for his departure ticket..
Didn’t watch much of last nights game, but this seasons 10 metre out penalty-a-thon followed by the obligatory warning then sin bin is so predictable and getting boring as hell.Yep another scrappy game. The Stadium is being constructed right now!Hindsight is 20/20. Thurston a once in a generation player, 1 year too long, absolutely. And sadly you would think at the expense of what looks like another once in a generation player in Ponga?. I would be pissed if I were a Cowboys supporter, whoever made that decision to not throw the bank and retain Ponga has effectively sealed their fate in the short term.
Cant see Townsville getting a brand spanking new stadium now, momentum dead and buried for the Cowboys in the short to mid term future you would think.
