Still struggles to score tries too...
There’s a theory that last years finals run took a toll on them in terms of lifting without their injured stars, this year apparently some players are potentially unconsciously switching off now that their stars are back- problem is their star players are looking massively underdone this season
Their preseason was hindered by injuries and comebacks.
They have had high workloads with rep players so their preseason compared to ours was highly disrupted.
Funny aye - be successful and your preseason is shot.
Suck and you get a full squad and full preseason hahaaha.
If we win or go deep into the finals I would hate for us to be a part of a world club series as it is an unnecessary game for NRL aspirations.

That doesn't explain the repeated knock ons and errors. Something much deeper going on at the club. Won't be surprised to hear the coach may have lost the changing room...
Did you see the play? Was honestly brilliant. Clearly a very sharp minded player...
Lack of confidence and cohesion from injuries, fatigue, other teams progressing etc.
Form dives while expectations of star players stepping back to top form to carry the team make them look like Warriors of recent years.
Eg - "here JT. Be magic."
"Here Matt Scott. Run 200mtrs tonight."
"Here Taumalolo. Run through 8 guys."
Actually they have enough star power and experience to fire. Deep breathing circle to the rescue.
Ponga looks better than Roger Tuivasa-Sheck....no criticism of Roger Tuivasa-Sheck.
Ponga's ball playing is next level. Best ball playing fb in the comp atm.
Newcastle are average at best. I'd like to see them play without Ponga....
