I thought the Roosters were all over them. They rolled them in the middle because of short passing and offloading meaning the Storm had to be careful gang tackling to slow the ruck down.

Cameron Munster lol. What an egg. Not only the sin bins but blew an absolute dolly of a try because he wanted his name in the fish and chip wrappings. Don’t worry son, your name is still all over it. Perhaps the single worst NRL GF performance I’ve seen from an individual player.

Anyone wanting to catch the final who couldn't be bothered staying up, PM me.

Compared to the AFL grand final that was a real let down. Disappointing and amateurish. Hardly any supporters for the women's or ISP finals and the entertainment was cheap - not even cheerful.
Well done the bunker, Greenberg got the grand final he wanted. It's time he started looking for another job.
Wholeheartedly agree Akkers.

I hardly know the game of AFL but joined a couple of Aussie mates to watch it here and thought it was a great spectacle (the game itself helped that no doubt), and the professionalism of the entire day helped as well.

I haven’t missed a GF in years but I just couldn’t get into it and the only thing I can put my finger on as to why is because I have a number of frustrations with the NRL and the way the game is run. The GF was a culmination of that with 2 teams who typify those frustrations.

The two ref system, the bunker, two teams that exploit the rules and the cap to a huge extent, the lack of foresight/strategy with how the game is run...the list could go on. It’s pretty sad really and they need to do something about it quick otherwise AFL and football will certainly eat into the viewership and memberships.

Sorry to be a downer on it, but just how I saw it.

I tipped the Rorters against the wRrestlers because of their defense and the Storm have been up and down on performance throughout the year compared to the Roosters who have slowly been improving in their attack.

After the Slater debacle I nearly lost all interest in wanting to watch the final... so my only hope was seeing his team get clipped and they did! Along with some cool ales and home made pizza with family and friends it turned out to be a quite enjoyable evening here in an unusually rainy and cold Brisbane.

It made me realize how important and enjoyable the week to week games are within the season... would be nice for us to get our first final win though!

They will lose Ferguson, Ryan Matterson and a few reserves graders no one has heard about so that should even things out.

It will be Interesting to see where the two international wingers fit seeing as their is a spot opening up with Ferguson leaving, unless they drop Tupou. Fullback is covered with Tedesco so moving Morris there is out. They are also well placed in the centres with two young guys hitting their prime.

Hall done his acl in august so doubt he will feature early on. Strange signing that one a 30 yo winger considering what's available to the chooks. Toupu played well last night. There is no way that team can be under the cap it's an outrage

i had the afl on in the background and of the things i noted out of it was the comment from the commentator that the refs were really good during the game. I couldnt give you any info on that from my own opinion as i know nothing about AFL other than its a whistle fest. But you couldnt say the same thing about the NRL game. It was boring and slow with the refs allowing lots of time in the tackle. Compared to the refs at the start of the year it was a very different game.

Cronk had last laugh! Cronk showed brains beats brawn
I wonder if the warriors had green pull back a bit from being in so many plays if he would be able to lead a team around the park like cooper. In saying that it required the Roosters to play a man short for the whole game and im not sure the warriors are at that level yet.

Didn't really care who won as I don't like either team, the Roosters are probably the team I dislike the most in the NRL but they dominated that game and deserved the win. I really wish the NRL would get rid of third party agreements though so teams like the Roosters can't get so stacked with expensive players.

I was convinced that the Storm would win the game whether Cronk was ruled out or played on with a broken wing.

So I got a big surprise when the Roosters rushed out to 12-0 after 15 minutes.

I kept telling myself that you can never count Smith and Slater out in big matches and while they remained calm, the others dropped balls and went for glory plays.

The Roosters defence was phenomenal. Has been since Trent Robinson turned up but it's gone up a notch this year. Well deserved win.

And the Broncos back to back wins from 92/93 live on.

What surprised me most about the Storm was how ineffective their wrestle was, I don’t know which team I was watching last night but that wasn’t the Storm side I’ve grown accustomed to all these years.

I just didn't want the bloody chooks to win. I have an irrational level of hatred for them.

Gotta like Politis though. Puts his money in to the club he loves. Cannot knock a guy lke that. Just imagine if Watson was their man

Nrl has turned into a farce... crappy game .. it comes down to who has the most money .. and who can hire the best accountants to hide the dodgy dealings... forget about putting money into development in this day and age.. spend it all on buying your team.. sadly its the only way to win a prem now.. Politis has set the standard now do the same or miss out...
