Is that official? Seems like early mind games to me. He'll play...
Rotator cuff injuries can be pretty niggly, can be anywhere from weeks to months depending on how much damage there is. Even if it's just minor, the chance of recurrence with big Nelson steam rolling him would be pretty high. Guess they could have Madison on the bench anyway and just take the gamble on Cronk.

Cronk or not I think Melbourne will win.

Having said that though the Roosters defence was awesome against Souffs

I heard Cronk on a sports bulletin today saying he'd play. 80%, 50% 30% he'll find a way to get out there.

What are the chances he gets chicken winged or some other wrestling tactic on him from Cameron Smith. If he goes out there he takes the risk. But I wouldn't be surprised if one of his former team mates gets him then acts innocent.

A few weeks ago we had Maloney or Moylan who got the better of the two guys swapping clubs.

No can the Storm go back to back?
Or will their former team mate lead his new club to a premiership?

Looks like I misheard (It was a long day:sorry:). Sounds like he will do what he can or they know now but keeping things close to their chest.

The discussion was on NRL 360 was about Melbourne targeting him knowing he is injured. Nice way to treat a former teammate. Its all fair in love and Grand Finals.

Nathan Brown said about having a smart dummy half means you have a smart team. The Storm still have Smith but its the Slater/Smith combination that makes them a smart team. The Roosters are a lot smarter team with Cronk steering them around the field.

Gonna be the first one in many years that I probably wont watch. Couldn't hate either team any more than I already do. If Billy gets suspended I'll watch it. If he doesn't its just another example of how far the NRL has worsened under Greenberg's watch...

im always amazed by how much hate people on here have for other teams. Personally i dont really care who wins but would prefer the storm, cause im a local. But most importantly i want to watch a really good game by the two best teams in the comp.

Storm looked the better of the 2 sides, Roosters looked a little patchy holding the pill but had outstanding defence.
Big factor is the players that are out- big call to make on Billy,
I’d say Friend will be out
Cronk looked like his arm needed to be amputated on the weekend and despite wanting to play he was a massive liability playing on in the weekend.
All pointing to storm for me.

In the last 20 Grand Finals, either the Roosters or Storm have been there for 15 of them. But they've never met each other.

So it had to happen at some point.

It's basically Goliath vs Goliath though, no underdog in sight.

I can see why a lot of people won't be enthusiastic about watching it.

But putting the lack of goodwill toward these two teams aside, it's going to be a brilliant game of Rugby League.

Friend is in, pleaded guilty but not enough points to rule him out for the week

All very well for people in Sydney who have the next day off for Labour Day but would love to see kickoff at say 6pm.
