I'm kind of hoping Blake and Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad are paired up. I get the feeling Blake makes his wingers better. Only problem would be then Ken and Fusitua would be paired up which doesn't fill me with confidence

Ken teaming up with the Great Wall of China wouldn't fill me with confidence!!!!I'm kind of hoping Blake and Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad are paired up. I get the feeling Blake makes his wingers better. Only problem would be then Ken and Fusitua would be paired up which doesn't fill me with confidence
Ahh ya got me!I don't think my expectations were unrealistic. He made one genuine line break and missed 5 tackles at centre over the first three rounds. He was not terrible but certainly not dominant.
In defending his centre play you said he has averaged over 100ms a game, it is true that he averages more than 100 across the season, but he averages 92 at centre and 121 on the wing. I am not convinced that comparing running meters between centre and wing is worthwhile due to the different roles. But if you are defending his centre play lets not pad it with stats from his performances on the wing
And this is what is wrong....Happy to see Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad in line for his debut. Would have preferred to keep the Ayshford / Fusitua combo going though. Put Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad straight into Kata's centre spot. Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad's debut... really looking forward to it this week...
And this is what is wrong....
He is a winger, play him as a winger.....
There's been so much talk about Manu playing in the forwards, for so many years, that it's become such a huge cock tease. Could he do it, couldn't he? Does he even want to try? It's interesting, why bother even naming Manu on the extended bench. He's not essential as cover, the other wingers aren't under injury clouds as fast as I know.
He's 18th man, Are they seriously toying with the idea of bringing him from the bench?
I hope so.. just to see how it would go...It's interesting, why bother even naming Manu on the extended bench. He's not essential as cover, the other wingers aren't under injury clouds as fast as I know.

I actually think he plays best at centre. Truth is he can literally cover any spot from 1-7 and could probably even give 9 and 11-13 a decent push too...And this is what is wrong....
He is a winger, play him as a winger.....
kinda like Tuimoala "karma sutra" Lolohea, but he doesn't get screwed..He's not an out and out winger, he can play multiple positions...
And this is what is wrong....

I like Maumalo playing outside 3 very experienced players in Foran, Hoffman, and Ayshford. If Maumalo is going to lift his confidence and be the player that he probably wants to be this has got to help him. (Until Kata gets back)
I reckon those 3 could even make an old man like me look good
Nice to see Nicoll-Klokstad get his chance too. I hope he makes it work for him
The rest are pretty much as expected. Although putting Manu in for Sao as was suggested earlier in the thread could be huge.
If Manu doesn't make an impact we don't lose much with the swap and the coaching staff can go back to the drawing board. And if it works and we get a huge barnstorming beast in the forwards it would be a master stroke
I want to see lots more of Manu in first grade at the Warriors but not outside Kata. He's wasted there. Although it might be interesting to see him play outside a real centre again to see what he can still do
Maybe the only other change I would make would to move Afoa up the list so that he gets game time. He's shown that he has talent and potential and he can only improve with more time on the field. Maybe not 80 minutes week after week yet but 20 - 40 minutes a game to bring him on
I'm guessing he will be part of the planning for next year?
Exactly... It would be good to see who ever is there justify their selection in top grade, however, I still can't see any value that Nathaniel Roache brings to this side, can he add any X factor like many hookers off the bench?I hope we play like we did against the storm, Who.ever is named ,
I just want to see the team that played the storm rock up,
Stoked as to see Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad finally debut. If he can get a couple more under his belt Im picking he'll replace Ken Maumalo or Blake Ayshford before the seasons out...
