Interesting to see Hoffman on the wing.

One dimensional FB, good to see coaches can recognise the deficiencies and adapt his position as oppose to fiximg something that cant be fixed.

Need the same for Kata and Maumalo.

The forwards looked great last match , lisones late offloads at the line , and all the energy. We should be able to match them in the middle hopefully.

Both sides match up evenly for the most part in the stats department, an area where there is a disproportionate gap though is in the offloads, they're second best we're second last.

We'll need to tighten up on our defense through the middle third, we've let in 7 tries in that area already this season which is poor and most of those tries have been soft.

If we don't restrict the Eels forwards from offloading by putting enough pressure on them defensively you can all but guarantee the likes of Kaysa Pritchard and Bevan French will expose us in that area.

If Luke's looking tired around the ruck and they're offloading the ball we'll have to get Nate Roache on.

These sides are quite similar, the main difference being that one of them has a history of getting flogged playing away games against mediocre teams in Sydney when they are the favorite, I'll let you work out who is who for yourself...

EDIT: Just remembered that team is actually playing at home this time, which only gives me nightmares of a certain Logan Swann not passing a certain ball.

Wonder if I was the only Warriors fan to click on this in a panic before finding out it was a golf story

As someone said the eels big advantage is in the outside backs, so it’s a bit tough to pick the warriors when the fall apart every time someone spreads the ball.

If the centers hold up in defence this week, we should be okay.

Big game. The warriors should have the confidence and the motivation after last weeks 2nd half and a week at home getting ready – or they would if they weren’t the bloody warriors.

Having James Gavet start while wearing the #15 jersey isnt mind games but simply because they dont have a #8 or #10 jersey that fits him. These things are custom made for players...
I would have thought they might want to make some prop jerseys in larger sizes. especially as we have the biggest pack in the world

Bevan French is a big out for the Eels, he's been electric at fullback this season. The word is that Gutherson will move to fullback with Takairangi possibly going into the halves, two key positional changes like that can only be disruptive to their preparations.

Man I see M'au having a field day against us and Moeroa is back for them too! This game is such a must win for us, I don't care who plays where just F***en win Warriors or else!

Any word on how long Manu is out for?

Wonder if its one of those Steve Price or Ropari injuries where he never makes it back and retires....

the scary part was that just before he went down, he still looked better than both Tui and Ken

Nrl casualty ward doesn't even have Manu listed as injured but it does say Mutts is supposed to be back for Round 7.

Edit: there's also "speculation" from some of the commentators in Oz that Bodene is unlikely to play and will be replaced by Afoa.

French being out is an big plus for us BUT Maumalo marking Semi scares me only have to look back at Rd 26 last year to see why. Hopefully with the disruption to there spine it causes some issues of getting the ball to Semi.

Win this game and we build some momentum back after an horrid start to the year

Maumalo will be outside Kata. Semi is on the other side.

Jennings vs Ayshford is more of a concern. Fusitua will have to deal with Semi.
