fucking warriors. couldn't believe how lackadaisical their defence was.

They did come out in the 2nd with a bit of fire in the eyes, but I think thats sensing a crippled opposition. doubt we would have waged the comeback against a stronger outfit.

don't feel too bad for the titans, technically we played with 15 too as hingano wasn't used and thompson went off early.

gives some hope, but the first half was so ugly its not turning into belief.

Had kind of forgotten how good foran can be. he will help johnson a lot.

Bloody kata, ayshford and lisone, if we could just find a 17 where a good chunk dont shoot themselves in the foot could do something.

When Mutts comes back, can we please drop Gubb. Mutts, Gavet, Lisone and Sao is a good propping rotation. Don't understand why Gavet had to wait so long to get a start. Easily the best forward for the last two weeks. HAs a nice offload as well, though he has a silly error in him.

Pleased for Foran. He will motivate others around him to do their jobs. For once, Shaun Johnson doesn't have to do everything.

Something has to happen with Kata too. He is slowly becoming impotent on both attack and defense.

The pack really lifted today - providing some space and time for Shaun Johnson and Foran to open up the titans...

From nrl.com (so won't be 100% accurate yet):
Gavet - 96 metres, 22 tackles
Lillyman - 169 metres, 9 tackles (wtf?)
Gubb - 99 metres, 14 tackles
Lisone - 147 metres, 25 tackles
Sao - 78 metres, 21 tackles
Luke - 126 metres, 29 tackles
Mannering - 89 metres, 36 tackles
Hoffman - 93 metres, 25 tackles
Bodene - 31 metres, 19 tackles

Including Bodene who went off injured - that's an average of 103 metres per player.

Pack stood up today. Maybe they didn't like Like's criticism?

Good fight back from the boys to get the W. They dug deep and showed a level of intensity that we rarely see. It is of some concern that we leaked 22 points in the first half alone but pleased that the defence held tough to keep them scoreless in the second half.

Gavet had some good impact and go forward and was the standout forward for me.

Hard to argue against giving MoM to Luke. Had one of his better games and looked intent on sniping from dummy half when the opportunity presented itself.

Great debut for Foran in the Warriors strip. Had to deal with massive expectation and performed superbly. Our attack looked lethal and far more direct with Foran playing right up at the line. Letting Foran organise the attack allowed Shaun Johnson to play his natural running game, and boy did he look good in parts.

Not getting too ahead of myself. It was a good performance all in all. My only hope is that they continue to improve on their defensive structure and bring the same intensity to every game as they showed in the second half.

Gavet went well.

I'd like to see Lisone out, hes agressive but he got the Warriors in a hole today, he personifies the issues the Warriors need to eliminate.

Warriors centres and outside backrowers got hammered while Roberts was on the field creating the extra man from the back.

Afoa in for Lisone, Matulino in for Gubb when hes back.

MOM - Luke. Apparently had a difficult week - really shone tonight.
He had his best game but he could have played a lot better. The guy is immensely talented. It is about time he started doing something to justify his wages. He is the type of player who needs motivation. My suggested form would be a kick up the arse before every game and at half time.

What a difference he made, a half who is fast and accurate and can defend

Yeah it's great what he can do physically on the field, but i think it's just as important what he demands from the players around him...a couple of wins under Foran and the team will actually start to believe they can do something in the comp, which is great unless Foran gets injured...then we're fucked.

Foran made quite a difference, but this was a home game against an already injury depleted side, that was down to a one man bench, and they still made bloody hard work of it. It was nothing to crow about at all and anybody who does needs to take a reality check.
