Foran can bring belief to the team, it just takes a few wins and the team starts to believe that with him leading them around the park, they aren't just in the comp to make up the numbers. Once that happens, attitudes change, particularly around defense, and those pesky one percenters that are so important.

The one problem i see with this small ray of light is if Foran gets injured, he is the catalyst, and i'm pretty confident in that as quickly as the teams fortunes may rise with Foran at the helm, they will fall just as quickly without him.

Another issue i'm not too happy with if Forans inclusion brings about the change in form i hope it does, and thats Kearney and the credit he will take simply for picking Foran in the side...insert a idiotic contract extension, and the implosion in 2018 once Foran has gone elsewhere.

Of course it could all be wishful thinking and the Warriors continue on their fumbling bumbling ways.

Poor Kearney.

You're damed if you do, and you're damed if you dont.

Was interesting hearing a few players (and stace) talking about trusting the process, sticking to process, i really think we saw that in the 2nd half.

Prior to that the players honestly looked like they didn't know what the f##k to do at times.

i may be talking bollocks but it looked to me like the team realised that if they stick to "the process" (i.e a gameplan/structure/strategy) they go a long way to winning or giving themselves every chance to at least compete.

5 or 6 errors was it? Almost un-heard of for us

So's his NRL coaching record.

That logic works if you follow the supposition that a coach never try's to evolve and is exactly the same as he was from a snapshot taken in time, we no life's not like that so why should his coaching be? I don't know how he's gonna go I don't have a crystal ball but I'm sure he's learn't plenty about coaching since 2011.

If you just don't like the dude that's fine, I don't understand it but whatever, I just don't get the logic.

unfortunately my source to watch games dried up this weekend and may have been terminated. So all i get to go on is the commentary on here.

So the number one take out of this weeks game is: Man the warriors fans were desperately in need of a win.

I doubt Kearney could even spell evolve

Facefacts is like a lover scorned. They never forget.

I've give SK a reprieve this week.

He deserves that much. If anything SK should bend over for Foran. He saved his arse big time.

Havent been enthused about the Warriors for a while now but damn Foran taking it to the line - out the back to Shaun Johnson - inside ball to Roger Tuivasa-Sheck made me wet myself a little.... those 3 combining have definitely perked my interest.

- love how Gavet runs through the line as opposed to stopping and dropping a shoulder or backing in, long may it continue
- Luke's best game but he definitely needed a spell at the end
- Lisone does some good things (lovin the late footwork at the line) said it before tho his enthusiasm is good but his game lacks accuracy.....especially with what he does without the ball
- Kata's going through 2nd year syndrome in his 3rd year, they've worked him out...adapt or fizzle

Relieved we got the win but in all honesty there's still too much retard in this team for my liking. Cant see us beating the Eels but confidence is all important, maybe that win is the first steps in instilling it in this side.

Spoke with a couple of the players yesterday - they were super-impressed with Foz's organizational and leadership abilities - very directive and decisive and able to make changes to moves very quickly if, say for example if things weren't going exactly to plan like if someone didn't quite run the 'right' line or was late in arriving at a certain (exact) spot he deploys something else and so quickly and if all else fails that tucks in under his arm and has a go himself. REALLY vocal.

High confidence in his leadership!

So how about that!
Awesome post, as soon as the player is tackled he is already communicating the next play as you mentioned, Shaun Johnson could learn alot about calling plays with confidence

This is really a difficult feeling for me. I'm super happy with the way we played and the direction that seemed to be on the field as well as the go forward from Luke and the forwards, and obviously the win. Could all this be just because of Foran? I'd like to think not, but that was the only change to the crap that had been dished up the weeks prior.

But what happens if Foran goes off injured? or what happens at the end of the season? I know I should just enjoy the game and look forward to the rest of this year, but part of me wants this to continue regardless of whether Foran was on the field or not and I don't see that happening. Some people may make the comment about the fact that it was only the Titans and they had plenty of injuries, but my counter to that, is that it was only Forans first game back as well and we can only get better from this.

Go the Warriors
we all wish it could last longer but in reality as soon as foran leaves things will go back to normal unless he can really help Shaun Johnson to organize himself better.
hes a special player that brings a level of confidence like very few we've had at this club, it was worth every cent getting him here for a year and we shoud all enjoy it while it lasts, if he gets us to the playoffs this year he's more than earned his money and can go happily back to sydney next year for all i care. I just want to see this team winning and winning with real guts and heart. he can lead this team to the playoffs and break the cleary curse.

thanks for the good oil.

This should be posted in the KF thread too, much will be said of KF"s year at the Warriors.

What amazed me most, was seeing KF seize command of the bridge after a year off.

Our lot have that round six default setting....where they drift rudderless, I expected Foran would need two rounds (likely losses/ I had us at 0/6 till KF gets a read on the team).

It took Foran one half of Football to Suss the Warriors out. One can only speculate that Forans time spent watching his team from the sideline, may prove a blessing in disguise.

A lot has been said of Foran bringing a confidence to the players.

That can work for a critical game here and there, but the real solution to this year.....has to be the players inspiring confidence and belief in Foran also.

If the players, especially the forwards, develop that reciprocity of playing for your team mate, laying a platform for KF and Shaun Johnson....they'd be aiming at a title.

Our defence sucks.

Again that is a individual commitment to your mates.

Foran will start to have a lot to say while we are defending.

As we know with Mannering, one man can't inspire an entire defensive line....if our Mob can work that out...show some respect to that spine by sacrificing themselves......the Warriors will Storm the top eight.

Sao and Gavet are paying their respect to their mates.

The others only need look at those two.
Awesome post, i honestly think things changed once they realised they could trust kieran, i reckon he was part of the reason everything tightened up in the second half and his try was very emotional for all the team. there's something about him, he seems even more experienced for some reason even though he hasnt played in a while, you can tell him and Shaun Johnson have good chemistry and even roger is starting to feel it.

the second half of that game was the best half of a game ive watched since 2011 i think. there's potentially a different buzz im hoping in the team after that win, could see us go for a 3 game streak, im hoping

The win eases the pressure a bit. We are now in a log jam of teams on 4 points. The comp being so tight does have some advantages when we start the season so poor as the other teams are still looking for consistency.

The win was good but the pressure will build again with a loss this week.

Thank you Manly for Foz's Rugby League education. Light years ahead of our development systems.
This here... I was going to write something about the difference between Foran and Leuluai. Remember that Lulu was supposed to bring that organisational side to complement Johnson etc etc, but just, well just didn't. Of course, Lulu was a product of the Warriors.
