Well, with Roger back and Kieran a big chance of playing, this feels almost like the beginning of the season for us... at least we got something out of the first 3 weeks. The normal us would be 0-3 right now.

We havent beaten the Dragons in Australia since 2003. They are quite the boogie team for us. For them to have a 79% win record against us since 1998 is plain ridiculous. We have only won 5 of the last 24 encounters.
One of those 5 however was the last time we played at Mt Smart last year. It was Round 9. The round after the disgusting 42-0 loss to the Storm and the infamous prescription pill saga that saw Ben Matulino, Albert Vete, Sam Lisone, Bodene Thompson and Manu Vatuvei dropped to Reserve Grade. The Warriors dont need anymore motivation then what happened that bittersweet week...

Getting (or is) very hard to argue with this.
Kearny should be with us no matter what now. If we see the same challenges it's time to bite the bullet and rebuild one by one.
I can't g t the saying "defence is all about attitude/desire" and I agree it's true.
2017 will need to be the year the players accept and embrace the relevant accountability or the club will suffer as a result.
The Dragons can play themselves back into form like the Bulldogs did last week
I wouldn't say the Bulldogs played into form in the sense that we played ourselves out of form
in all serious though, I really don't have a good feeling about this game, I feel that the Dragons forward pack are going to completely dominate ours, and Packer will be leading the charge on that one. You then couple that with Cam McInnes, (probably the best hooker on form this season) running his quick darts out of dummy half and catching our middle out continuously with De belin, Packer, Vaughan, Frizell running as support off his shoulder. Who doesn't see that happening?

Would have loved to have secured Vaughn, said it at the time thought he was the pick of the Raiders forwards and still is. Low running style and leg drive keep him going through traffic.....
Good news is our record at this ground isn't that bad ...is it 1 win 2 losses

Dragons win at a canter. Even when the dragons are traveling awfully they have no issue putting us away by simply not dropping the ball and not missing many tackles. We leak 20+ points a game regardless of our opposition, and this will be no different. Actually I expect it to get ugly if they go up 12 or more inside the first 20.
This is exactly how they orchestrated all our defeats to them.
They run us out of steam.....the back three for the dragons do the same (same as our back three) dummy half runs to keep the ruck speed too fast for the Warriors to defend.
The other thing they do specifically against the Warriors is play second phase....watch their backs make an unusual (by dragon standard) amount of passes and off loads to keep the Warriors stretched.
It works really well, we can't keep up, and even if they make errors playing a higher risk Un dragon like 2nd phase game.....they can afford to....since we make plenty of our own errors.....all things being square....their ability to defend those errors....have more gas in the tank = bogie
