Disappointed with this team list.
At least expected Tui to go back to NSW cup as Mooks intended last week.
Seems now that was more to make way for Vatuvei than a demotion based on form.
Thinking about it again, it's
SK in a nutshell.
He's known to stick with the players who abide to his ways. Vatuvei ranking higher than Tui with the benefit of history.
Which leads me to believe that Despite Tuis poor form he's obviously had a good preseason or good trainer.
Atleast showing effort in those areas and winning
SK over.
That could be the only reason why
Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad hadn't got a look in - not even a name on the extended bench.
Which leads me to believe that
SK feels Tuis only obstacle is his belief in himself.
Maumalo has worked through his downfalls with pure effort.
I don't know if Tui showed enough of that last week, but I go back to 2015 whet Tui literally looked like the next big thing.
Cappy played with his head playing him all around the park. Atleast
SK has come out and given him a ceiling - even if that's only on the wing.
Hopefully Tui can use SKs faith in him to have faith in himself.
Play like he did round 1 2015 when he gave us all a hard on with his first line break at fullback, something Sam Tomkins hardly did despite his price tag.
He had no pressure then, but to be taken seriously at this level he has to battle through pressure and perform of get out.
P.s. I'd expect Foran to be named on bench on game day replacing Clark, or starting at 6 with Ata taking Clarks spot on the bench. Still wish Kata would be send to detention in NSW cup with Gubb, with Ayshford and Gavet coming into the 17 by default.
