I liked the tactics of our forwards. Instead of wasting energy running on to the ball, they stood flat and took a couple of steps. Best to save your energy for when they need it.

It's like we're being coached by one of the worst coaches in the history of the NRL...oh wait.

Tui can fuck off.

Time for a clean out and if it means Johnson, Luke and a few others, I'm fine with that

you cant teach attitude. the attitude in the team (except for mannering) is pathetic. i have that same disgusted feeling i did with the anzac day game last year.

i really have no idea what to say, got a whole bunch of angry thoughts but really dont even know if i can be bothered putting in the effort to rant about this team. i mean come on did they show effort and dedication tonight?

No speed in anything, no kick chase, no creativity, no off loads, no support runners, flat footed, no trust in their fellow defenders (Kata), lack of pressure kicking, no line breaks, no leadership..

Things are looking grim. Luke looks like a limp dick, Lolohea put some effort in on a couple runs but that was it.

When we had all the ball and scored stuff all points, you just could tell the Dogs would score once they got on our line.. So bad.

The hype has well and truly faded, I cant see this team doing anything this year. If they make the finals I will band wagon the shit out if it, but for now 20 years of heartache has taken its toll, im out

That isn't fair. Bunty played his guts out again. The senior players such as Manu and Bully really let the team down. How long is Bully signed for, please not another season. If so I vote JD get the cane.

What a disappointment. The score line doesn’t show it, but for good parts of the game I thought we were the better side.

There were good individual performances – going by Fantasy scores Shaun Johnson was the top performer for either side, and there were very solid outings for Mannering (of course), Bodene Thompson (I was impressed by his ball handling skills), Hoffman, who had a better game than last time, and Lisone, who seemed to me to have a better chance of making line-breaks than most of the other young forwards. While neither Maumalo nor Bunty ended up with much of a Fantasy score, you can see the potential. On the downside, an Origin player like Lillyman isn’t having the impact he should, and Manu sadly made virtually no contribution at all.

What went wrong?

Yes, you can credit the Bulldogs for good defence, and for taking their opportunities, give them that. And we were missing Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, which likely made a difference. But when it comes to things we can control, we need to look at two things.

One is we’re back to the empty cupboard when it comes to set offensive plays. We’ve all spent the past few years watching players crab sideways in front of the opposition defence for want of anything better in the playbook. And players don’t know what their mates are going to do next. Yeah yeah yeah we’ve prioritised defence and holding the ball and being error-free and all that good stuff, but someone on the coaching staff needs to turn their minds to something other than “Well Shaun will dance his way through” or “a miracle will happen”. Is there an offensive playbook? What’s in it, if anything?

And the other is the “let them come to us” defensive line. We’re conceding five or six metres a tackle by going forward a couple of metres, stopping, and letting the opposition have seven or eight metres unopposed. I suppose the logic is that the defence gets set and it makes it harder for the opposition to make line breaks, but it isn’t working. We’re gifting free metres to the opposition, most noticeably last week against the Storm who had quick play the balls and ran hard, but tonight too.

Ah well. it's early days, and we have the talent to make the eight and beyond. But it's starting to look like a tougher season than I would have hoped.

I am now starting to wonder if having Cappy stick around was the right idea.
Kearney is making the same mistakes that Cappy did.. Lolohea is a dud fullback, do the Warriors have a specialist Fullback in reserve grade or U20's? He offers nothing except a scatter brain, his positioning on D is terrible and doesn't offer enough support on attack.
No one say Fusitua! He isn't a Fullback either.
The attack was mud because Luke was off his game, looked tired or injured and maybe needed a sub.
You had a headless Fullback and a rookie Stand Off who was put under pressure, therefore no cohesion.
For all of Maumalo's effort on defense and hit ups, he isn't a winger!! His positioning on attack is bloody awful and butchered a couple of tries.

We need Roger Tuivasa-Sheck back, plus Fusitua on the Wing, Asyhford and maybe try Allwood again..

Bang on.... add to that the slowest play the balls in the world allowing the other team to set their line and wait for our one off attacks...

Blocker (even though he's a prize cock) commented that we looked tired after 8 mins!!!!!! We had most of the ball on attack in those 8 mins too!!!
