Rd 3 2015 by my count, tomkins limps off in that game, by the time he returns TL is done for the year.

So yeah, 2 years on the dot. And counting. This is how lolohea got jerked around so much, there was always a hole to fill. Starts to feel a bit unfair, I mean how many games does the boyd/hunt/milford/mcculogh unit miss? Not many.

Just an aside when was there an NRL backline with 6 Tongan starters, pretty cool I reckon, now for 5 of them to reiterate to that 1 fulla that all Tongans are tough and never take a backward step, they might as well tell that other fulla from Laos as well.

As has previously been said, Ayshford to Centre and Fusitua to Fullback would be my preference. And if Roger Tuivasa-Sheck wasn't out I'd put Fusitua on the wing. SK seems to want him to cement the centre spot I guess but he's our only great winger atm.

Maybe we are a bit hard on them, this is pretty absurd. Especially considering the money and expectations put into all those guys (except for Chad)

I think our spine must be cursed, even our new 7 is injured and he hasn't even played a game yet.

Every game is important, but i think all games till Foz joins the FG team on game day are more so.

At the time Foz steps out on the field all the weight of expectation will fall on him. Pressure on Shaun Johnson, Lolo and Manu, etc will disappear as everyone waits to see what is going to happen. And if they win then he is the saviour, if they dont thats ok, he needs time to come right but the expectation is still on him to fix all the warriors problems.

Until then we have this game coming up and Manu, and Lolo will be under massive pressure to step up. Lolo to prove he is worthy and Manu to prove he still has value.

My worry is that Manu will do what Manu does and give it 110%, make multiple runs in the middle to start of sets and push harder than ever. And in the process blow his valve on the runs, have nothing left to work the wing and then start making mistakes.
My worry is that Lolo will throw a snit, and do the minimum rather than take the opportunity to make a statement.

I think it is going to be very important to see how SK manages these 2 players in particular, slowing Manu down a bit and geeing Lolo up.

These games where there is some adversity (in this case Roger Tuivasa-Sheck out). Are the ones where we get to see what SK brings to the table and I for one am very keen to see this game played out.

Had the same thought as you on Manu.

I'm almost certain he will go hell for leather for Kearney....and for his spot.

Those warm up games in the NSW cup could prove a master stroke....we will know at full time if they were enough to oil the old machine and get it ready.

The other thing is Kata saves Manu a degree of involvement.... Manu shouldnt have to worry too much about running in Try's.
