However that type of game never elevated him to elite status which is what a lot of people try to suggest he is.
If you regard test football as elite, which I do, he played very well behind a dominant pack with Shaun Johnson on the other side. In the last few seasons he has been living on reputation because he has had other things on his mind, then he came here so he was on a hiding to nothing, now he is off to the Bulldogs...go figureo_O

Lino was terrible, not up to grade standard, why is Mutts leaving? he is a starting prop in any other team, but Doyle and Mooks believe otherwise, so they offer unders and guess what?
He is behind a pussy pack, he isn't that bad and he has a decent kicking game close top the line.

Is it worth defending if all you get to do is give one out plays and a kick when you get the ball back.
When they have go forward the move the ball, which hasn't been very often, so that isn't Kearney, it is a powderpuff pack signed on potential. Hey Iro, who buys a new car on potential?

This was in the sydney morning herald - really not sure what he is alluding to..........................

Warriors coach Stephen Kearney sensationally accused his players of not trying hard enough and of lacking effort and conviction after a big loss to Newcastle on Saturday afternoon, promising consequences as soon as Sunday morning.
They won't be too worried, he cannot take their two and three year contracts off them.

The structures of the club
Need rebuilding up from the ground. The U20 is a disgrace. ISP is going ok but how many are potential first graders.

Backroom changes are also required ie Iro and co need to go with a complete overhaul of player recruitment for U20 etc.

It needs to be a Newcastle type rebuild.
Starting right at the very top, business management 101...and you can include EW in that because he is a franchisee...think about it.

Can't say I'm surprised with the result. The Knights have been pretty solid lately and we went in with a forward pack that's both small and inexperienced (pretty sure Mutts is the only player we had out there who weighs over 105kg).

On the bright side we got our first clear interview all season. Sounds like Kearney's fully aware that the players haven't been up to scratch and that some might need to be moved on. He also spoke about the need to rebuild the club from the ground up and that they're still feeling the effects after a few lean years under a few bad coaches (mostly mclennan).

If we can't clean out this roster I'd say we'll just get more of the same.

Bluey's biggest mistake was that he went in under resourced. He wasn't as bad a coach as Elliott.

So the Warriors capitulated to the Knights. Well done Knights for sure. Was that a big fuck you and wot to the Coach from the busted out players as well? Maybe.

I always thought Foran was a very good link man - as you say, he ran direct and he played the game at pace. However that type of game never elevated him to elite status which is what a lot of people try to suggest he is. However I doubt you will see him back to his best - ask Manly fans what they thought of him towards the end of his time there, it generally isn't complimentary. He has barely been above average as an NRL half for a few seasons now. I reckon what we are seeing from him in 2017 is pretty typical of what he has been offering for some time. That makes him very overrated.
I would never suggest he was elite, he is up there the quality ones though. Those last few years at manly there was clear problems going on there he didn't agree with. He started fresh at the eels and was the form half of the comp, unfortunately got injured and it all went to ruins from there. If we ever thought we were gonna get kieran foran at top flight, then that was pretty naive given the circumstances.

They would have no right to. Most of them aren't even first grade players, even though they might be on first grade contracts. Memo to Iro, put reserve graders on reserve grade contracts.

Stop taking the piss, it's not funny.

How exactly am i taking the piss. We're not a underdog team? We don't need forwards? We don't get burned by refs? We don't need experience? Our 2, potentially 3, signings won't help? What exactly out of those points are funny?

If you are feeling down about how shit the Warriors are then get Rugby League Live 4, pit the Warriors against NSW, drop the difficulty to rookie and go nuts.

Smashing NSW 50-0 is immensely satisfying. Gubb got 4 tries, it was amazing.
Been playing that too. God damn they need to patch that gamr

I'm pretty sure there was more irony in that post than observation.

Serious question here, was the starting forward pack yesterday the smallest ever in the Warriors history? I honestly can't remember a smaller one taking the field, it was tiny.

The Bronco's forward pack isn't big, perhaps SKs going for a more mobile pack like he was working with there? Shit plan really.

The forwards are soft no aggression or mongrel. I actually enjoyed the Newcastle forwards having a dig.

One positive was Roache. He needs more minutes, he looks more potent than Luke.
Bro, I fucking flushed something that looks more potent than Luke just this morning. All jokes aside though, Roaches needs to be our main hooker.
