That second to last try the cowboys scored they played Kata like a fiddle, they dangled the little carrot in front of him and he took it hook, line and sinker..... if only he held his line the cowboys probably don't score, thats the type of brain fart decisions he does, and to top it off ppl were blaming Ken, there was not much Ken could do once Kata left a two on one man situation..... Kata needs to stop panicking on defence.... Hodor, hordor, hold the door, I mean hold the line

Taumalolo out shone our whole pack, something Kearney will never understand/understood as a coach or player, Kearney blamed individuals last week but never named anyone or dropped anyone so he must be talking about other individuals, an individual like JT can win games by himself, go sign Tohu Harris and it won't make one bit of difference to our results, another prediction Mooks will be gone next year for the one reason is we have missed so many recruiting opportunities because they are playing some sort of moneyball shit that we will end up with no recruits again next year! no recruits = no finals simple.

I don't know that Kata's last play was selfish. I just suspect he had a plan, and facing that many defenders he just didn't know how to change the plan.

If he scores we are praising him, if he doesn't he's greedy, he just didn't play the situation in front of him.

He had a plan every player and person watching could see he was going to do.

If he scores? Theres no way he's scoring in that tight little corner with 5 defenders in front of him.

To honest i dont think he knew it was the last tackle.

Which just adds to the stupidity of the whole play.

If SK selects him again next week it will do my head in.

Katas last tackle play was real dumbarse. He's one of our best when he's playing good but fuck me everyone saw that coming. I thought that Sao an Lisone killed us more than Kata. Way too many errors an penalties the fools were all over the cows head an neck in the tackle

Some tried hard, others tried harder but it was the usual brain explosions that killed the happy ending.
As expected Lino did really well & Foran stepping up was encouraging. Is Luke injured? He didn't add much.
Can't wait for the Tuesday team naming.

Agree that Kata was not the only problem. For me our forward pack is the biggest Achilles heal.

With the exception of Gavet our props lack that go forward ability, that enables quick play the balls, thus broken play for Luke and the halfbacks to flourish.

Sao, Lisone and Lillyman just don't carry that punch.

For Kata. It was a brain explosion however its typical of his play of the last season or so.

From a personal point of view the raps on him were certainly overstated. I can see a lot of similarities in Matt Utai career. Good when he first came on the scene, however after a couple seasons he was quickly worked out.

However, there is a distinct lack of alternatives other the CNK on one wing and Fusitua into the centre, who again appears to have stalled in his development.

I think SK and co have some tough decisions to make regarding some players.

TBH I thought we contained Taumololo quite well last night. Last few games in Townsville he ran riot against us, making an easy 20 metres each gain but we had good line speed to keep him out. I actually thought overall our line speed was the best in the entire season, we really did limit their metres. Turns out we can control larger packs if we want to really work at it. The big issue was again losing the big moments. Sure the BS calls did harm us but if we keep dangling the carrot in front of a good team, they'll take it eventually. Satae is one to keep.

Kata and Lisone are having a bad run of games but they add value to the team when they are on song. Maybe a stint in ISP will do them good. I'm choosing to believe that Kata's bad form is related to off-field issues at this stage.

Fusitua isn't being helped by being shifted around every couple of weeks. He's become the new Tui, plugging gaps everywhere.

Form isn't the problem.

Lisone didn't play horribly, but when he has someone by the throat and then palms them in the face leading to a penalty that results in a try, that's not form.

When it's fifth tackle at the end of the game and the play the ball is so slow Kata has time to construct a neon sign that says "gonna run boys", that's not form.

Form isn't going to make these guys smarter. Every good thing they do is inevevitably undone by moments of avoidable stupidity.

I wonder if the "lads" have lost total faith in the gamelan (also known as The Process), it sure as fuck looks that way.
Imo the flaw in it is it requires big fuck off forwards to properly achieve. Or at least small forwards with grit and big motors, of which we have a serious lack of.

Another thing we've all noticed is a lack of offloads/lack of support of offloads, i believe this has been coached out of them for reasons of completion etc (which to be fair we have improved on).

The result when we're on the back foot particularly have been plain for all to see.

It looked like they tried their guts out. I actually feel a bit for the players. It's hard to believe in a game plan when most players who know a bit of the game can probably see the same flaws we do.

Happy with our effort not so with our game smarts. Mase surprised me and I give him a big tick maybe 2 years in the Reggie's would be good for Kata as well. Loved Satae fuck you Kearney with your dumass process with Sao, Lisone, Vete get us some big ass boppers fucktard. Another year of hope disappears in the more of Dumbness.

Good point about the offloads.

forgot all about offloads - just like the forwards. No wonder we look so weak in attack.

Probably too busy researching the lies behind GE.

Canceling Sky a couple of years ago may be the smartest thing I've ever done. Tried to watch it on Skygo but it wasn't have any of that. Friggin Warriors put my pretend money on the standard away to NQ 13 plus hiding, they couldn't even do that for me. Reading the comments again though the Warriors are like Japanese porn, just when the promise of something good comes up a big blur comes up over the screen and you get nothing.

Thank God for the Kiwi's in the Supercars.

He's only shifting between wing and centre. Not ideal but anyone who is capable of playing centre at NRL level should be able to handle the wing

Come on - don't let the facts get in the way of a good conspiracy theory ;)
