Bodene was second top tackler although he missed three. His carries were good as well. Sure he isn't world class but he has improved since the soft drink affair last season.

The first half of this season he was downright horrendous. He's picked up the last month, but doesn't everyone in the team around Origin time?

There is zero correlation to his form and the pillbull affair. He's been up and down since with a large down patch at the start of this year.

To rewatch or not to watch that is the question. Watched the AB's live and taped the warriors as well as some quick glances here to see if I was missing anything "and normal transmission resumes" seemed to sum up what I was seeing. So at halftime in the AB's I watched the Warriors on fast forward and it appeared that as long as we dominate possession say 70/30 we can beat anyone but as soon as it gets less than that we're fucked.
Actually think I've answered my question , I wont be rewatching this when all I have to do is wait till next week to see a rinse and repeat.

Like I said, he has improved, slowly but surely. I think the pillbull affair was a symptom of something far deeper at the club.

If you watched the Roosters Sharks game you could say the same thing. Both of those sides let in tries we would roast the Warriors over.

Horrible for half a year, but he's slowly and surely improving over the last 3-4 games so it's all good?

The guy is about to turn 29. How long is this slowly and surely path until he reaches consistently good week in and week out?

The only thing that might keep him at the club is a lack of options elsewhere.

It isn't all good. It will be the season after next that we can say that, at best. I was using him as an example of SK getting something out of him, and Mutts as well.

And I was saying it's a poor example because Bodene is so yo-yo like in his performances that any coach who has coached him could claim to get something out of him.

A couple of leg up penalties for Manly in their half and lazy marker defense from us assured a Manly surge. For us to stay in the game till the end was encouraging for me (we stopped Manly from getting in to number 2 spot on their for and against).

For a game that is always hard to win, it was great to see some serious game faces on our boys. Disappointed result YES but encouraging signs for SK's vision for change.

Management 101, the buck always stops at the top, that being EW, not JD. I wouldn't mind seeing the back of him but who would you get to replace him right now. Don't bring up Carlaw Park again Welly, we can leave that out of it.

This is a tough comp and some management are still on the learning curve and I still rate the way SK is dealing with things.

Having said that you have to feel for the Dogs where the Chairman signs up players well over the cap despite the protests of his CEO.

I still hold out hope that JD is going to cash in on the salary cap issue for nest season. Whether he intended to or not.
I've always called for EW's head. Some on here love the guy for saving the warriors. I suppose having a team is better than winning to some. The guy needs to go but again who replaces him? Until that question is answered we'll be in the same position as we are now for a long time to come.

Maybe the warriors management need to ask the Breakers for some tips on how to travel to Perth and win, they do it with bigger players and shorter turnarounds and still win on a regular basis.

Fair comment, maybe it has something to do with the competition.

Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad had a shocker? Bunty made some errors in marker defence but that can be improved. I thought his overall effort was very good. I am not slitting my wrists over that game. The side is improving. Would you rather be a Bulldogs or Raiders fan, or even worse the Knights and the Tigers playing for the spoon this weekend.
what I mentioned in my post was mainly about our young junior forwards and the errors they have in there game, having a error in a game is not a prob every player has one, but when one players has 3-5 per game thats just bad, its like its a right of passage for our juniors to have a error prone game in a Warriors 1st grade jersey.

I thought Afoa's second half was pretty good, but lazy marker defence 1st half (I saw 2-3 which led to tries) where it looked like he jumped into marker to take a break/rest cost us big time, Manly found him out bigtime and to me that was the difference and lost us the game, when I first saw it happen, I thought to myself Kearney should hook him cause it was glaringly obvious he was tired, so Kearney should shoulder some of the blame.

Mount Wellington will cane me if I reply, so I couldn't possibly comment.

Those 2 - 3 line breaks through the ruck you mention were the difference. Until they can get these guys awake for 80 minutes we are cannon fodder. It was obvious when we got to 16 - 0 their overall intensity increased, ours didn't. Blame that on under 20's development. Other sides know it will come, all they have to do is watch for it.

And yet we very nearly beat them with plenty of improvement left in them..

We're on the right track similar to Manly last season but are not there yet and will need to fight to scrap into the top 8.
They better get on track fast because they lose a lot of experience next year, its not going to get any easier

This season, with the resources they have, should have been the best opportunity in 15years to compete for a grand final, and at the moment they probably wont make the top 8

Feeling a lot like most on here. Was great to see some passion and fight to the last minute but the period from 16-0 to 16-26 was just some horrendous defending. In reality the warriors are a 7th - 12th placed team even at full strength. Not looking forward to next year without KF and Mutts.... If I was Tony Iro I'd be on the phone to Blake Austin's management pronto

Too much pampering.

You dont go to war by flying business class and being treated like celebrities.

Fly them cattle, -1 star
motel, feed them bread and water. Yell and scream at these c***ts.

Make them mean, angry, savage.

Come game day they will be mad men ready to take it out on someone.

Dogs of war.

That or you can tell them to "trust the process";)
