Also half excited that Tof is on the extended bench, even though he's not playing it at least shows that he's there or there-abouts in terms of propping selection.

I wonder if the opposition had anything to do with this weeks selection.
Brisbane are gonna be going with a lot of young guys (some bloody good ones too) and sk may see continuity and experience as his advantage over this broncos side.
Bringing in the likes of the sipleys would kinda put us in the same boat as them thus canceling out that advantage.
Not saying I like the side but that would make sense.
Right?

On the other hand a game against a weakened side could be the perfect opportunity to gives the likes of the Sipley/Satae a chance to show what they can do.

Quite telling the attitude from the club.
AFL team here lost 2 in a row (Adelaide Crows) and there was pandemonium.
Subsequently they dropped the 2 underperformers who were also usual starters.

This is a team who made the finals last year, and undefeated this year.

NFL, and NBA teams do the same. Warriors keep trotting out the same rubbish year in, year out.
This year seems to be even worse now one of the culprits (Hoffman) calling out his teammates.

SK has the perfect time and excuse to clean the place out, will have nearly unanimous support, and he's wasting time persevering with the same trash..

Disappointing, theme of the last 5 years unfortunately.

As the coach you hold autonomy with selections, so the results (lack of) are a direct reflection of your belief in the sides performance and ability to get the job done.

To make no changes reflects a coach with limited control, lack of vision and no comprehension of the shit we find ourselves in.

The baffling thing for me is this lack of a hard taskmaster, willing to make the necessary changes in an attempt to turn this turd of a side around has been with us for ever. We constantly see the successful coaches give 1 maybe 2 chances to underperforming players. Here we offer a superannuation plan to these players, this HAS created a platform for insignificance.

I would make a better coach at the Warriors, big call I know. But based on what I am competing against I truly believe this statement as gospel.

Man the f $#k up coach Kearney and deliver us weekends where we are proud of our side.

I have given up on this team, there is zero accountability, how Bodene is still playing after two gutless performances in a row is pathetic and shows that Kearney is not a head coach, this team is going backwards from last year, to think we turned down Cleary and Toovey for this clown. Toovey would not stand for this crap from these players, id rather we play reserve graders who give their all and lose than these bunch of losers who are not putting in. If we were playing the Knights in Newcastle they would put 30 points on us.

I think SK will be criticized either way, hopefully he gets enough time to actually go somewhere with the team.
1 or 3 shit games might not get you dropped - maybe Kearney thinks the talent is there the effort isn't or the game didn't go as plan , whatever.
But as far as how he is handling people like Thompson and Hoffman I think letting them plays fine as long as he can get effort out of them - he probably won't be taking people like that into next year with him

Kerneys process is becoming clearer. It's a slow movement between the grades, which requires a player to play consistently well to get promoted, or consistently badly to get demoted.

He isn't results driven, he's process driven, obviously. He's a short term pain, long term gain coach.

Thompson is one player skidding real close to being dropped. And once he's dropped it's a long, hard road back.

If Kearney keeps his head, and backs himself, and stays the course, and holds her steady, and flys against the wind, and gets the sextant looking at the stars, and trims the sales,,, and fuck it.... trusts the process, he'll earn my respect.

Any man who does what he says others should do has at least that going for him.

Didnt people who watched NSW Cup last week say that Vete was fairly average in the game?

From what I've read he was average in the first half but then absolutely manhandled them in the second half.

Maybe SK figured that we need someone who only performs in the second half to help balance out the squad.
