Good thing vinyl is making a comeback otherwise that would have went down with a let me Google what that thing is.

Looking forward to having some footy to watch, can't wait for Sunday.

Sky need to get with the program the online guide for Saturday has the rugby on 51 the cricket moved to 52 to accomdate the rugby and now league. Thursday, Friday and Sunday are all good.

If we can't beat this Knights team then we deserve to get booted from the comp on principal alone.

Yeah, we were also overwhelming favorites to beat last years NRL "predicted" wooden spooners West Tigers in Round 1
Also, feelings were pretty high in 2015 when we were tipped to walk over 2014 wooden spooners The Eels

The nerves felt only by us Warriors fans that lay dormant over the off-season awakens in us all this Sunday! :nailbiting:
Excited to be at the park, hope the weather holds!

Kearney may find sleep hard to come by Saturday night.

Not expecting much till Kearney and more importantly his players get used to him.

A Loss to the Knights to my way of thinking means nothing in the scheme of things until the club becomes fully Pro.

We are talking many years of bad coaching, bad management, bad attitudes, very low self esteem and a really massive basic skills deficit and drive.

The most consistent thing about the Warriors, is that if you pressure them, no matter how shit your roster, they will SELF destruct.

Sometimes all it takes is a bad ref.

Sometimes they do it to themselves by not turning up before kick off.

We all know this stuff.

So why expect us to beat the most shit team in the NRL ? So what if we should, that is a different thing all together to what the Warriors demons are generated by.

Thank God on high SK is using reserve grade to get Manu ready.

Thank the Prophet Mohammad SK is playing all the players who tried hard in the trials and preseason....who gives a shit if Maumalo and Gubb arent the best.

People wanted Bellamy and Bennett....well this is what their teams would look like too....try hards first, talented lazy people change your ways or piss off.

Compare the teams we played in those 2 years vs this year. Both teams had individuals who could hurt you in a variety of ways.

Now look at the Knights team.

We win and win well.

Anyone else feel that forward pack is going to lack impact?
yes, I voted no, not convinced Gubb is up to a starting prop position. Will be interesting to see how it goes at 3am in the morning.............

Gubb shouldn't be starting imo he wasn't very impressive in preseason and hasn't added anything to his game should of been Gavet who was pretty good for the trials. Otherwise good team should win well happy for Erin Clark and Isiah Papalii finally good to see an backup hooker that doesn't have trouble passing the ball and getting his forwards over the advantage line.

Happy enough with what's named but I'd have Gavet in for Gubb who would be out altogether, and Bodene in for Isaiah. Otherwise all good.

No Allgood though.

An odd ball question but does anyone know how big Papalii is? He looked a little small in the trials....

He does seem like he has a bit of growing to do, still only 18 after all, but it seems he's strong as an ox from what I've been reading about his weightlifting exploits.

We win and win well.

Gagai, Ross, the Safiti brothers, this year they have Starling and Buhrer. Backed by Hodgkinson's kicking game and a bunch of young guys who have a bit of experience now. First rule, never take anyone easy. Especially the Warriors.

The Knights are a different team this year but look the same, a bit like us.

my biggest concern is Lolohea under the first high kick.

I get with roger there that clean up is more likely but, a fumble and chances of scoring go through the roof. If i were the Knights i would pepper him all game just to see what could happen.

Side named as expected. Forward pack looks quite weak, not sure who you could count on in that lot to run 100+ meters, and most good sides have a few players crack that mark.

Disappointed to see Maumalo retained on the wing but not surprised, as soon as he played there in the trials I knew he was again penciled in as a winger for 2017. Will be interesting to see what happens once Manu returns.

Should win this game by plenty, but who knows. New coach and that Knights side is all over the place, if they're all playing for spots and contracts etc then I expect them to put up a fight.

Sounds odd, but just because Ken plays first grade on the wing, doesn't make him "a winger."

Through NYC he was always a good centre and back rower. Cappy went all "Corey Oates" with him, and it's stuck with Kearney so far.. hope he gets moved to the pack soon, he's a big rig without the skills of a winger.
has he ever played centre for the club at first grade level. I can only remember him on the wing?

Dave Munro will be the ref.

Who the fook is this guy ?

I could be wrong but I think the reason Ken is so popular at wing is because he can slot into the same game plan as they use for Manu. Swapping those two players wouldn't lead to any significant game style changes.
