Paul Kent reminds me of one those people you work with who's too afraid to have his own opinion on something in case boss doesn't agree with it. " What's that sir ? " Seriously does him or Ben Ikin ever say anything original ? Sharks will struggle maintain last year momentum. Storm will continue to dominate. Panthers will push forward and go on to win the grand final. What he's been saying is the same thing everybody saying all year since the season started.

Personally I don't believe them only because everyone knows the NRL is anything but predictable. That's why I'm picking in this year Grand Final I'm picking we will see either one of three things : 1.) Cowboys beat Roosters, to give JT his third premiership ring. 2.) Titans to beat Storm, to give Jarryd Hayne his first premiership ring or 3.) NZ Warriors to beat Kearney's and Kieran Foran old club, Eels, in last gasp finish in extra time. It's that or NZ Warriors continue to play like shit, last year Raiders resurgence start to fade, Titans finally get sold to private business consortium and are renamed Bears, Storm and Broncos face off one another in Grand Final. I know what I would rather see as my heart says it NZ Warriors who will win it all this year but my head says Titans with Jarryd Hayne to also win Daily M medal ...

The Warriors make the 8, non negotiable. The other teams there and finishing position will depend a lot on injuries to key players.

It is the NRL so someone will get rubbed out on some controversy. That will have an effect.

Unless they are ravaged by injury I don't think the Knights will get the spoon. They have recruited well.

The Raiders and Sharks will not keep their momentum from last year IMO. It has been shown to be so hard going back to back. I have nothing really solid about Canberra other than finding it strange basically swapping Fensom for Taylor. A player who will deliver against one who might.

The first ten rounds depends on our win/loss record. If we win at least 6 of our first 10 games, then we make the finals. If we don't, it's another season of so close.
That's what my stats say, and for the last 3 years I've been saying that.
