There must be someone/anyone better than Wright, he shows no urgency at all!! and his defense is suspect, we'll see, I am rapt with our points but we had some luck, st george pretty woeful and we finally had some luck go our way, just keep the same team, teach the V drinking babies a further lesson, oh that's right they LOOK real hard!

Sundays game the stars aligned for us.
We got the marginal calls.
We got the rub of the green.
The refs were fair to us.
But where God intervened has not been mentioned yet.

First half we had a good breeze behind us, second half, after getting on my knees, the breeze vanished so no advantage to the Drags.

Sorry, you had to be there.

I think I like RFM more than Lane. And I think RFM is average. Maybe he was nervous. Jazz has to be in the team somewhere. He has locked in a bench role. Him and Luke can run all day.

Please let this be the makings of another GF appearance. Wishful thinking I know but considering the roster and the performances so far, considering six guys stepped in to be counted (probably not all to everyone's expectations), surely this the decision point where they either crumble and finally become the death of league in this country or they turn this completely fcuked up season around along with the past five seasons to go with it and deliver what the die hard fans have been waiting for, for the last 21 years!

OK, I admit it..... maybe I've had a few too many prescription drugs and red bull cocktails, FML!

Welcome JJ great post.

Hard to see Cappy giving Lolohea a run at 6, Robson went well there yesterday. Any words on Tommy shoulders? Haven't seen anything.

Hoffman and Robson's make out session...leaving the left edge exposed and the opposition scores a try...consistent story throughout the year...sure, Robson played well...

Good call Phil, it is a common play that is made easier when the centre (kata) doesn't communicate with his inside man and drag him across and also by Robson playing a dozen years without correction! ol Robson might have been at the review that others missed but does he pay attention? maybe the warriors should provide oxy + red bull before these sessions so everyone will turn up and actually pay attention! Hoffman has had to many knocks to the head but what I didn't know was that most of these knocks came from running into his own players! nice work Phil now get back to your real job.

Our edge D was woeful
We dropped the ball alot
They got tough obstruction calls
We wanted it more and won.
A win is great but the result gave me no confidence. The Cowboys would have put 50 on us like last year.

We beat the middle and lower ranked opponents, but lose to the Cowboys, Broncos, Sharks, Storm. Good win for us against a struggling Dragons team, given our week from hell. All we have to do is break even with our won/loss record for the year, and we're in with a chance at 28 points.

That was a pretty slick move by the Drags, Widdop to Benji then run-around with a decoy - that's a tough one to have a go at them about

Yup, that was a beautiful piece of deception by Benji, have to give him credit for that.

Just re-watched the game, Tevaga and Palavi really held the middle together in the absence of Mannering, Palavi is bigger than when I last saw him he's got a terrific tackle technique and nearly always gets his man on his back for a slow play the ball. He's moved up a lot in my estimation, he's always on point and that comes from being a smart dude. Front rowers traditionally develop late and he could be a good one for us.

What do you do with Tevaga? he's not mean't to be playing this well, he was picked up by the Warriors in some "try your luck trial" and now he's pushing for a permanent place. We know Luke is a champion and he'll find his form at some stage this year so it's a real conundrum.

If I was McFadden I'd keep persevering with Sipley in first grade, he's green as green but he's got the size and power we need from the bench, I'm excited to see more of him.
I'm happy with Siply playing FG again, as long as he's given short bursts and then taken off after a big play to build his confidence and enthusiasm up to mega awesome levels...

I'd like for Jazz to spell Luke off the bench and tell Luke to go full on for the first 30 minutes, bring Jazz on until the 60 minute mark, and then bring a fresh Luke back on. I don't want Luke pacing himself...Sipley needs to gradually get more game time, maybe some of Vete or Lisone's minutes.

It's the wings that are at issue. Wright goes back to the B team, Allwood keeps his position at wing along with ???, and the spine is Fuz, Lolo, Shaun Johnson, and Luke/Jazz.

By far sipley is alot fitter than what played out after his massive line break & bad intentions to pulverize there fullback...
  • First grade debut
  • Achieving his sporting dream
  • Crowd atmosphere
  • Playing for his famliy
  • Live tv etc
All this physical & mental stimulation creates so much adrenaline just dumping out into his system that it looks like he is unfit, which is not the case but is more the cause & effect from over stimulus as the player goes into shut down or gassing out from it all...

What a talent & force he is going to become but only if cappy unlocks his criptic use of the bench to expose him to the rigors of week in week out footy....

Nice list.
The other effect all that fight flight stuff causes is your thinking narrows.

Tend to see a lot of noobs do inexplicable things on debut.
