Thats the season in my mind. A few players didnt show up and Shaun Johnson was top of that list. Forwards got owned again. Great game from Simon Mannering with some 69 tackles and Bodene Thompson. Ata Hingano didnt look too much out of place and the futures really bright for him. Must place higher than Tuimoala Lolohea for halves pairing now. We need a little General, not another hot stepper.

Pretty disappointed really. Another season full of promise but turned to shit...

No heart no will too win.
Too many drop balls can't win when you can't complete. Can't win when you get hardly any ball. Can't win when your star half has poor game management and last tackle options.
Our forwards just aren't a premiership winning pack.
No line speed on defence Manu jamming in too much.

Cowboys did have their hands on the ball a lot what a have lead to a few of our drop balls but the home te should get the rub of the green.
Well done Ata on the debut our m.o.m goes to Mannering

Play The Ball

Very disappointing performance. Warriors forwards got totally owned and that was without Matt Scott. Johnson poor again when his side isn't at least getting parity. Thought Hingano looked promising despite a couple of handling errors. Fusitua better bet at fullback than Tui. Warriors need to wipe that game - win their last two and hope the Titans lose to Penrith and Cowboys. I give it a 50-50 chance of happening.

Warriors were a bit disappointing but Cowboys were like a whole different team compared to the last couple of weeks - a bit unlucky for the Warriors that this was the week Cowboys found their form again.

Why bring in allwood he has been in the forgotten pile allyear, wouldn't it of made more sense to use lolohea?? even on the bench he covers most positions, In saying that hingano was good performance in a lack luster team.. I thought gavet had the reputation of an inforcer with agression?

This game was always going to be too much for this lot to handle.

Cowboys coming off 3 straight losses. Reigning premiers, have a lot more fight in them than a bunch of losers.

Losers in the sense that most of the players in the squad don't know anything else other than losing.

Another year where the 8 alludes us. Next season the fans might allude this team.

Frustrating game. Our errors stung - because most directly lead to Cowboys points. Atleast the crucial points which put this game out of reach early.

Possession fairly lopsided - many mentioned in the gameday thread the Cowboys being offside at least 2-3 metres constantly.
That afforded them quick plays and got them easy metres. That and our lack of effort, at times.

To be fair, we had effort in patches in this game. We all know when the going get tough against this squad, they hang their heads. We've shown resiliency over the past month, just to see it unravel the past 2 games.

Positives - Hingano could be special.

Negatives - everything else.

Not even going to bat an eye at the outside possibility that we can make the 8. As far as I'm concerned, this season is yet again a failure.

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Luke, our star signings, both on the sidelines. The youngsters who showed promise last year haven't taken that next step - Kata and (in some ways) Vete the exemptions.

Our aging stars declining - Manu, Lillyman, Hoffman, for example. Even Matulino - who didn't play big minutes today either.

Everything is just a mess at the moment. The direction isn't clear. The pieces haven't fallen into place and it feels we are back at square one.

Fucking sucks man.

Well this was the least points we have conceded in Round 24 in three years, so that is good :)

We have to win both the next two and hope the Tits lose next week. We haven't won in rnd 26 since 2011....

Ata good today. Roache good on the wing.

The top teams seem to target the ball relentlessly in the tackle and usually get away with borderline or blatant strips. I'd say we should spend more emphasis here too, but you know we'd get penalised to shit.

Manu seems to be waaaaaay behind the play. When he tackled the player without the ball, he had no idea where the play was. Seems to be a bit of a dinosaur now and the Warriors future success probably depends on cashing in his very lucrative contract somehow.

hmmm... where have i heard that line before...

oh yeah, last fucking week when we played the Souths into form after they had lost 9 in a row!!

I guess we can all safely conclude now that Cappy is really a shit coach.

Poll it!

I know Johnson was poor, but I'm not sure what he's expected to do when we don't have a single forward coming close to running for 100m - Cowboys had 5 exceed 100m. And then spend most of the game defending our line because seemingly no one can hit it up without dropping it?

Liked what I saw from Ata. Roache was good at 9 when he was there. Our outside backs are atrocious.

Thurston was poor when his forwards weren't putting in, thats where it starts we must recruit quality props for next year, otherwise its just more of the same.

My grandfather (god rest his soul) would be turning in his grave after that lackluster performance. Manners and Ata were the only standouts for me.

Sorry to say but Shaun Johnson really needs to grow a pair and start managing the game a lot better. Running was non existent and kicking was atrocious. Is this what we get from our 1m dollar star play maker? Such Mediocrity?

Forwards got pummeled up front.

No sync between Manu and Allwood. Definitely missed Kata on that edge.

Well I guess that's another season down the gurgler.

Yep, there is no doubt about it now.

Cowboys had 3 forwards gain 200+, we had none get over 100.

Shaun Johnson isn't the magic button some would like him to be. Coming into this round he led the NRL in Line break assists, led the NRL in dropouts forced, had put in the most kicks out of any player in the NRL, was 4th in try assists, and was in the top 2-3 for line breaks and tries by a half.

This playing for a team that quite simply has an unbalanced pack, no wingers, and horrible structure in attack.
