Having Blake Ayshford on the bench makes more sense than Tuimoala Lolohea. Ayshford has at least played lock and second row so isnt a specialist back waiting for an injury. That being said it still baffles me that he would reshuffle the team once again for some horses for courses thing. Truth is this is just another classic Cappy overthink.

True. But he already has Jazz covering lock n 2nd row (another debatable call imo). So unless there's 2 injurys in the pack I cant see Ayshford getting game time but in the backline or if at all.

I'd prefer Ayshford over both. Lane was the worst purchase/swap. I'd take RFM over him anyday, even with his defensive woes.

Yeah. I haven't followed NSW cup closely, but thought they may have upped their game to try and gain selection. From what I saw though, Palavi's just a giant marshmallow and Lane is equally as soft.

Yeah there is some versatility in Ashford- he's even played 5/8 before so I don't actually mind him as a bench option tbh.
The thing that shits me tho is we're chopping and changing the outside backs again.
I said at the start of the year I wasn't a big Ashford fan and would go with konnie and sol but I was happy to go with whatever cappy decided as long as he stuck to it.
All last year we were switching centers almost weekly and while this year we've had some stability there it's been the wingers turn to play musical chairs. Those outside back combinations are so important and take time to build and now we're starting all over again...
Why didn't he just stick with Blake and Fusitua on the right- tui at fullback- that was working.

Oh well if we win all is forgiven but what if we lose?
Just roll out another combo next week I suppose.

Palavi's better than that, he's a good defender with a solid tackle technique similar to Mannering's ball and all tackles IMO.

Put back on the bench for back cover just encase.

Does seem weird because if we went with four forwards and no back cover it's not like Cappy has some adversion to putting a forward into the backline.

Decides to take further action making changes to the team, however Warriors have not won a single game since these changes

Who spread that rumour that SGH said he was world class? One change that has me wondering is putting Fusitua outside Shaun Johnson. Ayshford had formed a good understanding of Shaun Johnson's play, no matter what, and now he benches him. BTW no matter what people say about Manu he scored a brilliant try last week. He still has to be watched by the opposition defence.
