McFadden might be feeling some relief after this result. Might be that the Sydney media might take their attention off him and turn it to Barrett for a couple of days.

My tipping has been dreadful this year, another one bites the dust.

That last try the Tigers scored, there is no earthly reason why we can't get joy from that play with Johnson and sheck, it's not complicated if you execute it properly and don't do it running sideways 10 m in front of defence.

Early days obviously, but are the Tigers destined to be that team that nobody thought was going to do shit this year buuuut come First Week Finals Footy it'll be Looky-here who's qualified 8/7/(maybe even)6 in the finals series?

To be fair, I'm just pleased Manly are being done. Doesn't matter against who.

And does Cherry-Evans regret his back-flip yet?

Tigers centres are outstanding. I hate Woods but he and Grant give their team a good platform by just being big bodies somewhat.

Think Johnson needs to move to first receiver. The teams capable of it. If you remember the first Kiwis try in the Anzac test match last year it was Johnson to Roger Tuivasa-Sheck to Vatuvei in the corner. So I'd put it down to the Warriors coaching. Try I was talking about occurs at the 28mim mark.

Absolutely. Clear as anything. Why would any coach try and change that setup?

That's my biggest problem with McFadden he's not catering his tactics and style to maximise and best use the players skillset and talents.

So having watched the Tigers v Manly game, and reviewing the Warriors Broncos and attending that game, I am a little more optimistic about our current status.

Tiges lost a forward before half time tonight.

Tapau is awful at present, so glad we didn't get him. Too much weights - not enough speed work.....

Tiges in the Aussie heat at home just too good but must be said we nearly stole it off then - as bad as we were.

The Dragons have shown they put more into a vengeful Warriors trial than they may do at all again all year.

The Broncs game live for us looked promising, whilst Shaun Johnson was quiet in attack he was everywhere in defence, 1st man down for every chase and looked to be clearly focussing (too much perhaps) on defence over attack. On telly it seemed we showed a lot of urgency against a bother strong at home in summer. With the loss of two outside backs it could have been a shocker if we were as shit as we've been worried about being.

I wreckon we'll keep improving with time perhaps another loss this weekend (50/50) before we gather momentum and go on a good run.

Perhaps we've gone off early....?

EDIT: went too early, Marty with a couple of good runs.

Just watch Shaun Johnson's 2015 half season highlights package. Middle third of the field nearly every time, and quite often off the back of offloads where the defense is staggered and disorganised.

Throw in Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and the game plan should be pretty simple. Run hard, hit the line, offload when available and let the boys go to friggen work.

Not saying we are home and hosed or all will be ok however an interesting set of observations when compared to the way we read them initially.

He still smashed through their line a few times and ran 180 metres. Your glad we didn't get him.....really?? He would stroll into our lineup in a second.[/QUOTE]

Yep, as per above posted a little before the end of half time, too early....impressed late after struggling early.

Did well to finish out strong and no doubt will get better.

Shit boys 1360 spot on thoughts and you want to discuss one wrong one ......;):D
