I knew this was coming and I'm still disappointed.

Essentially got a 3 man bench. I mean if there's no injuries, Tui will come on at the 70th minute just to get him on the field. Really good for both the team and Tui as an individual. Great job!

He could always go on the wing to shift Manu or Maumalo into the forwards. Just don't know if Cappy would use that strategy.

Tui would provide a spark of creativity out wide. Maumalo gets to hit the middle and Bodene Hoffinator or Muttz get a rest.

I am unsure about the vete non selection. Although I don't know why everyone thinks lolohea is a wasted bench spot. We have 3 back rowers that play 80 minutes so a four forward bench means the fourth forward doesn't play any minutes. We could have Roache, but last week he played 7 minutes. Would rather have Tui play those 7 minutes and have the added bonus of having every backline position covered.

not to concerned with Tui taking the utility. I am worried about having Bunty and Gubb on the bench. Need some size to come on and roll forward for us to attack on the back of. Manly out muscled us earlier in the year and they look like they ate capable of doing that again to us with that team.

Don't mind a power winger but I like the other winger to complement him with a bit more finesse. In saying that though Maumalo hasn't really put a foot wrong, and Tui's hardly been setting the world on fire.

Tui on the bench cover's a lot of options, but forward bench rotation looks hardly fear inspiring.

Close game I reckon, ....Perth....Manly....im not confident, we're going to have to be at our best.

Hamstring injury.

Haha McFloppo putting two forwards on the wing...i guess he's just copying all those hugely successful clubs who win premierships doing the same thing...wait,what?
I'm not predicting how this will go....that would be fool hardy. But there is a precedent for two big Wingers, Wendell and Tiquiri ?

While Manu is not Lote, and Ken is not Loti, there is a precedent for two power big wingers...and it works quite well if both play well in the same game.....in fact if both play well in the same game the Sea Eagles are fucked (that would mean defending well....not try's only they can score type moronicy).

Vete is out with a hamstring injury.

Not sure about Maumalo and Vatuvei together, probably would have preferred Lolohea on one wing. For me there is a young beast and and old beast kind of mirroring each other playing similar styles, doing those hit ups the middle but too slow to turn and chase, like watching the dam titanic doing a turn. At least with lolohea you can get a bit of flair if he stops that stupid dam skipping before the line. Be an interesting game. :D

It will be interesting to see how Lolohea is used off the bench. He was held back for 60 minutes last time to play on the wing. If needs to come on and cover Vatuvei or someone getting injured fair enough but if he is going to be brought on as a tactical change you want him to come on and make an impact. I don't mind him on the bench as he is versatile; just hope it works better than last time.

Hopefully he isn't held back as McFadden also tends to hold Gubb back for a long time as well which would mean we are playing 15 vs 17.

Glad this game is at an earlier time. The article today with Doyle explaining the benefit the earlier kick off time has in getting the side back to NZ was good to read. Usually when we have played Souths over there they have managed to leave for Sydney that night while we are stuck in Perth limiting our preparation for the following game.

Ken next to Ayshoford makes me happy.
Finally we get a taste of what Manu could have been next to a real center.
Ken is relatively defensively sound and he has better hands than Manu.

Lets see what power (when fed 'ball beats man' passes) can do.

Lets see if the acrobatics in narrow corridors of a Fusitua is needed, or the scortching speed and finesse of a Lolohea....I don't think so myself, I think Ken and Blake are about to prove why Ivans Kick to Manu was a nonsense and why a ball playing center is as valuable ala Jamie Lyon in your backline as any halfback.

If you can organize two of those (Warriors sign Whare, you can score Try's with any Warrior type inconsistent leaky edge winger and defend as a bonus on top.

So many things to like about this team.

The Warriors get back their back who is their best running meters prop in Manu and retain their other back who is their best second row like Wing for more running meters.

The Warriors forwards are pussies.

Just ask any Manly fan that has enjoyed seeing the Warriors dominated up front, dominated in the tackle, and driven backwards into last week.

The only forward that matches Manly is Manu Vatuvei.....he is the only Prop we have that takes hit up two and doesn't get bitch slapped.

We just caved in and added another Winger that is really a critical forward...we are going all in on the big running backs Warrior thinking.

Why not.

Might as well.

Hell with this configuration the Warriors could confuse Manly and instead of getting Manu to take hit up two, they could run it like this.

Fusitua does one.

Maumalo takes two.

The Warriors give Manu the soft platform Matulino and Lillyman milk on tackle three.

That leaves little for our forwards to worry about apart from defence.

For that Job I would have picked Gavet and Matulino to hit and hurt people.

Vete too but hes broken so forget about it.

When Charlie goes low James needs to go high.

Put Lolo at half with Tommy at dummy half at the end of the halves.

I don't have a problem with Lolohea as a utlity....IF....IF...there's an actual plan for him outside of warming the bench and then being thrown on the wing for a token 15-20 minutes.

No plan = no happy.

I like this team.....And i think we are good chance of winning.

Looking at Manly, they have a few problems themselves...

Brown at centre? Is Ivan talking to Barrett? I'l head to the bookies now to place a bet on Lewis going himself from dummyhalf and scoring.

Kapow at prop! Impact forward yes, prop, hhhmmm I don't think so.

I think Ken and Jorge cancel themselves out, so turning around to defend will not be an issue.

I'm looking forward to this match.

Jorge is pretty quick though, no Addo-Carr but no slow coach either.
Ken will have to be switched on for those DCE short kicks in behind.
Looking forward to seeing how the big fella goes.

Manu to play up the guts and take lillymans place and lolohea to take over the wing. Hopefully this is what will happen.
