I was thinking of waiting until Saturday. I've already got my tickets and the idea of hanging around outside the stadium for 24 hours doesn't really appeal.
I'm flying down tomorrow.... I see today's it's now sold out!!

Looking forward to it..then the road trip to the Naki next weekend!

Fisher-Harris Jr Kiwis, Latu, Peachey City Origin , Dallin Watene-Zelezniak Kiwis, RCGillard, Cartwright, Yeo ..all coming off rep footy. Good looking team on paper the Panthers.. Good quality line ups for both teams to be fair.

I'm expecting a big game from Matulino.. this guy knows he can dominate when he wants to. He owes himself and the club a big one. This will be a good opportunity for him and Bodene to repay everyone through actions with a good performance. Buzzwords seems to be 'we've moved on' so yeah pretty much internally dealt with, boys have been crucified to hell and back now we get back into it. Bleh!

Leuluai needs a big game still the best front on hitter that I've seen when hits he stings, he'll never play reserve grade he'll always be afforded the luxuries of playing first grade even when coming back from injury.

With Tommy it'll be akin to having a player coach out there such is his focused mentality and demeanor he just needs to keep the flow, slick passing each way.. let Luke & Shaun Johnson control the game plan

I get excited watching Jazz .. dudes got that footy nous we lack, clever, tough player massive work rate.. another game under his belt against a quality rake in Segeyaro, this'll test Jazz's anticipation and pace around the ruck. Seggy's got some pace, hopefully Jazz snots the bastard. Whack him hard.

The team list looks like a bit of a reward for the guys performing last start along with strengthening now that more guys are available.

For the guys drafted in against the Dragons. Allwood did some good work and would have been unlucky. Also I thought Robson combined well with Johnson against the Dragons; we were moving the ball quite well from one side of the field to the other when those two were combining. Leuluai really needs a big game to keep Robson out and potentially Lolohea. Hopefully he gets a run of games without injury.

Fusitua was impressive at fullback; I like his late step at the line as it must make him a hard guy to tackle. It much have been tempting to keep him there with Lolohea potentially coming back into the halves.

Lousi is obviously out and needed to be replaced. Sipley looked promising in the time he was on the field so hopefully we seem him get another chance in first grade; preferably when we are going a little better. Lane didn't do much against the Dragons so hopefully we see more this weekend.

The two guys coming in after being stood down should be motivated to prove a point. Hopefully as a group it's not just for their first game back but we seem them aiming to make amends with the remaining games of the season.

An away game without having to travel to Australia we need to make the most of this like we did against the Bulldogs.

I have a feeling we are going to get thrashed.......The dragons game was and emotion charged game in our favour....this week, we'll have nothing to feed off.

A couple of things come to mind for me.
The angst about Lolohea being FB, remember he is still in the spine
I have trouble working out why Wright is there instead of Allwood,
Fusitua can contribute more from the wing, he does a good impression of a burnt stump out there at times.
Kata needs to work within defense structures.
Does TL's defense make up for Robsons last play kicks.
Matulino appears to me to play within a comfort zone, what can he do is he really goes for it.
Tevaga is the local find of the season
Can accept Lanes nerves last game, should be an interesting skill set in the game.

Anyone see Allwood in the NSW residents game, he absolutely killed it on defence at centre, cant believe he is not in the team, Jono Wright is pathetic on attack, see how many times he got put in the clear and looked like he was running on quick sand

Allwood would shore up the D on that side for sure!

Yeah I agree, I thought the issues at the meeting were the reason the club investigated what had gone on the night before..
It was disclosed on Radio sport, must have been late last week, can't recall exactly, but the radio sport team and their reporters, including Kent Johns who is extremely close with the club and players put it on the air, as to what really happened. I will try and troll through the week on demand and see if I can find the link

Shit out of luck, the playback feature on radio sport only goes for a week, but I'm sure Kent Johns would confirm the story

If you want someone from Radio Sport to confirm this Play The Ball would be the guy. I remember one of his posts he mentioned he helped Kent Johns with breaking the news so he should be able to confirm that for you.

What are we confirming, that there was no meeting? Is it possible to just say what Radio Sport said really happened?

Tylz

yea it was confirmed on radio sport that they were not late to a team meeting it was a narrative they let play out in the media. Pretty sure it was quoted from the Warriors.

I'm pretty sure there's been lots of hints that Simon was going to be playing this week... Not so sure about Manu, though. In fact, after coming out this week and saying his mind was not right to play, I'd be seriously disappointed if he did.

I'm sure someone will chalk it up to "Cappy mind games"

This is correct. No team meeting. Warriors let that narrative play out without correcting.
