How would Johnson go behind the Cowboys forward pack? Probably as well as he does when he has a kiwis forward pack doing the job for him.

Blaming the forwards for Johnsons form is an excuse and doesn't explain the lack of effort we're seeing from him.

How about how would JT go behind our pack? A shit load better because he is a brilliant half. Even ignoring everything JT has over Shaun Johnson in terms of skill and vision and involvment, the EFFORT he puts in every single game is unquestionable. You can tell from the way he ramps up his involvement in close games that he feels personally responsible for getting his team the result. I feel like i'm insulting JT even comparing the two, they are on two different planets imo.

Im not against Cappy at all. But yes, bringing in Toovey to give this club some guts might be the best option.

Or if each forward had to take a set where they had to take two hit ups (perhaps 1st and 4th or 1st and 3rd or 3nd and 4th).

I don't really get why people get stuck into Hoffman for his work ethic. I mean he makes close to 100m per game, and yes his tackling stats are not as high as others, but opposition teams aren't really targeting our edges as much as our middle. That is where they are finding heaps of space. Our middle men have no line speed and instead of meeting them head on, they just wait until the ball carrier arrives to tackle them. It gives the defence no momentum to work with and the ball carrier therefore makes heaps of post contact metres and sometimes offloads. For me Matulino and Lillyman have to lead the way just like Dylan Napa did on Thursday. Its all about the impact of the tackles and we don't have enough aggression whereas the opposition has plenty.

Very agreed.

Napas last game is a benchmark for our middles and indeed the whole defensive line.

The defensive line must be moving forward and not waiting.

Mass x velocity = momentum
So Benny Mutts mass x no velocity = 0 momentum.

Random Manly forward's mass x velocity of 10km/h = more momentum than Benny Mutts as an example.

Yeah its hard to be a long suffering Warriors supporter so I get your pain.

Seeing Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, Luke and Shaun Johnson in our spine without firing is sad.

Knowing they get more money than most of the general population for it is even sadder.

The problem is if you take or week or two off; you'll probably miss something. This team is like an addiction I can't shake.

Towards the end of the year when you know the finals are out of sight or I'm totally convinced we're hopeless I'll probably be able to schedule movie time while the Warriors are on and then watch other sides. Things will be a lot more relaxing.

This year is going to be a little more depressing considering the hype going into the season.

Manly basically picked us and bullied us for the first 5-10 minutes and our lot let them. Then the fact we are making a big deal about having new halves and we got shown up by a hooker playing half back and a converted centre playing at 6.
