Why the fark are people discussing the Brisbane farkin Broncos??.. fark those show pony bastards.

because we're bored, the kiwis won so we can't whine too much, and the warriors haven't played in a couple of weeks so most of us have forgotten how average they've been... plus to be honest, naming an all times Broncos team would be tough... they have had a beastly forward pack and a class backline for all but about the last five years...

don't worry, normal service will resume Saturday...

I think this could very well be the season this week.

We currently need to win 9 out of 16 for 12 - 12 record which is usually good for 8th spot (However it wasn't last year on P/D)

A loss this week means we would need to win 60% of our remaining games just to make 8th spot, all the more difficult considering our final two games are away from home!

A loss this week and I declare the season dead.

Looking at this week and next away to the eels as a combo, the season will die (or be on life support) unless we get a win in one of them.

Win both and things will be looking not too bad at all for us… which won’t happen, but sneaking out one win will do.

Away wins are solid gold for us, from the end of May to the middle of August we have 12 games, 8 of them at home.

Almost impossible not to start climbing the ladder during that period, teams coming to Auckland middle of winter, missing a few players here and there, it’s the warriors happy time of year.

They just have to be in touching distance for that period…. So they can let us down by flubbing the last 2 games and finish in 9th again.

Nah that was just a lordygnome moment when people were discussing rugby he mentioned something like ''why are we discussing rugby fucking union" haha.. bit of a play off that comment no offence intended.

Hoping to see Mutts have a big game after the test haven't seen some of that type of defence from him since he won player of the year.

At one point Mutts smashed Dugan then followed it up with a rib tickler on Scott, those effort on effort plays that have been missing are back but he will need to contain Fifita this week.

Let Johnson bomb the snot out of Barba.. heavy traffic aimed at their halves especially rookie Bird let's put him under pressure he's had a free reign so far

General consensus on the radio just now from Fien, callers and hosts is, should the Warriors lose this game their season is over.

That is rubbish. The Warriors are only about three wins from no 1. They just need more focus and direction in the backs. The forwards are stepping up weekly. If they focus and play to their strengths they will be fine. This season is a long way from done.

Im pretty sure its historically accurate, it was reported last year or the year before something along the lines that teams not in the 8 by round 10 will more than likely not make it.

The competition may seem close but 6 points is a huge gap to make up, they will need a winning streak which is not a regular occurance

We lose and it becomes 4 wins behind, we lose again it becomes 5 and so on. The points dif goes the wrong way, confidence goes and you can get where people are coming from and where the season goes.

13 wins is the safe cut off point so we need 10 more wins from 16 games. 9 wins if our points dif can get going in the right direction.
This week is one of those 10 wins that we should be guaranteeing. Look at our draw:
Sharks, Eels, Knights, Rabbits, Roosters, Titans, Raiders, Storm, Roosters, Manly, Sharks, Dragons, Penrith, Cowboys, Tigers, Dogs.

We should win: Both against Sharks, Manly, Raiders, Tigers, Eels. (6 wins)
Knights, Titans, Storm, Cowboys have all been too good for us already. (2 wins)
Roosters x 2. (Maybe jag 1).
Dragons. (Think our unpredictable offence should win)
There's our 10 wins
Losses
Rabbits in Perth
Penrith
Dogs

I believe we are good enough, but there needs to be a massive improvement if we are to play finals this year.
So far in 2015 there is no evidence that suggests we are good enough or that we deserve to be in the 8. We deserve to be in 13th because we have played poorly for extended periods of time.
The season is salvageable but only 17 men can do that each week.

The saddest part is our draw for the start of the season was about as good as it could possibly get, now we're quickly approaching the back half which is about as tough as it could possibly get.

I hope beyond hope that Vete plays this week. The aggression he showed last week against Samoa is exactly what we need. I really want him to come on around the 20 minute mark and just go hell for leather charging in the middle of the park either side of half time.
One thing I think we need to do in attack is use our players where they can do the most damage. Lisone can be a real attacking weapon, but he needs to swap with Bo on some plays. Would love to See Lisone on that right edge charging at opposition half backs, with his footwork and speed plus Konnie outside him and Tui/Tomkins out the back, most defences would be asked all kinds of questions. And don't forget it will be Johnson distributing, could be a super potent right edge attack, plenty of speed and strength out there, then Wright will only have to catch and fall over the line.
