He was using the old vertical defense line technique.

It's an old technique that hasn't been in use in Rugby League for over 120 years now... Yes I'm pretty sure the last time it was used was before the game was invented over there in Northen England back in 1895... That's why we don't recognize it... I think Bluey McClennan wants to see the Warriors bring it back into their game plan... Inspired vision by Konrad really...

I still don't know how our line failed to hold on this occasion...
Are you indicating that you consider Konrad to be a real student of the game?

Don't worry I had all my sharp kitchen items replaced with plastic ones... Just in case manu follows facefacts advice...

Haha, what advice is that?

The only advice i'd like to give Vatuvei is the same advice i'd give the rest of the team...

1. stop making so many errors, and try not to lead the league in that particular stat so often.

2. Try to stop making so many dumb decisions defensively.

3. Try to keep up with the opposition as they always look faster, fitter, and in some cases far more skillful.

p.s. does Manu live at your house?

Miket12 was having a crack at me insinuating about how if we play too well there'll be nothing to argue about on here and I'll be resorting to self harm to pass the time... Hence my comment about Manu following your advice, which would precipitate the conditions that destroy all debate on this forum, a run to the premiership, and my subsequent need to remove all sharp objects when faced with an argument free NZ Warriors forum.....

I guess I'm partly having a crack at myself at the same time... Whilest also having a crack at Miket12 by giving your advice the thumbs up...

PS: I'm pretty sure everyone gets this without me spelling it out. I'm just putting it out there for my own understanding, to make sure I'm not completely insane...

Charlie Gubb charged with Grade 1 Dangerous Contact (Head/Neck) on Shaun Fensom in the 76th minute. Won't miss any time with an early guilty please - anyone remember what that was for? All I can recall was Mannering's "crusher" which he isn't facing any action over.

there's a tackle during the 75th minute (on the onscreen clock) where gubb gets him in a bit of an awkward position like a crusher tackle, definately not worth being charged over though

One aspect that I liked about our team in the weekend is that with Vete, RFM and Gubb on the bench we have a fair bit of size back in our pack.

Matagi and Rapira, despite their great efforts, were significantly smaller.

Agree that Havili was a waste. It will be interesting to see if Cappy persists with him in the fear that Friend gets injured early and we have to put Chad, Tui or similar in the defensive line.

Of the NSW crew I thought Lisone and Fusitua stuck their hands up for recall. I dont see how David will get a game in the backline so I am backing Lisone to take the extra bench spot.

Days like today make me really proud to be a Warriors supporter.

It's a great day today here in Penzance, Cornwall. The flags are out and it's Mazey Day, with no fewer than FIVE parades. But this has put the icing on the cake and it's still only 10am. Woo-hoo!
nice part of the country Cornwall, Swanpool has the best ice cream in the world...https://www.swanpoolbeach.co.uk/quirky-ice-creams/...

I'm not so sure that eg. Charlie Gubb gives us size (weight), but he makes up for it in guts and determination, and that's great. RFM and Matagi are both listed at 105kg, Gubb at 108kg, Sam Rapira and Vete at 110kg. [/planespottingmode]

I'm sure that Cappy realises that Havili isn't the best by a long chalk, but what else can he do? We've lost TL for the season and tho Friendy is playing out of his skin this year, that's for sure, he may tire and whilst he has his limitations, Havili is a specialist hooker and an international.

HIT OF THE WEEK | Prop Sandwiched
Wed 1st July, 06:58PM

The Canberra Raiders prop runs straight at Ben Matulino only to get sandwiched by the club's two Wellingtonians.

Well we are starting to look the part, that was a pretty decent performance but we still have plenty to work on.

Absolutely massive Yea Boi performance from Shaun Johnson considering the injury.
I cant believe its been barely mentioned, get farked with ya.

I didn't think my Man Crush could get bigger, but after shaking off the arm injury to play on and that has coninued to obviously hinder him this year, a back injury is a completely different beast.

Me thinks its more than coincidental that he is getting better ball, Sam has certainly helped with organising but it makes my head want to implode watching the Chad get the ball on 5th tackle.
And a having a not atoo many have a dumb mistakes sure plays a huge part.

I must say I have been a tad bewildered by some of Cappys bench selections, been saying for years that Havili is too fat for Hooker, ya need a motor, ticka and something between the ears for that position.

I do love the structure, it works, ya just need the platform and less momentum killers in mid tackle count.
We aren't far off the pace on current form and the defence is starting to seemingly have a bit of starch about it, If we kill off the Storm by a margin, I think we might top 4 it:D

Best 'complete' performance of the season for me. We've played well in patches and in halves, but that was a full on 80 minute performance. More of that and the 8 is a certainty.
