Time to get the beers in, put on your favourite jersey and if youre in town get to the park. Its game day.
After a torrid start to the year, the Titans well and truly have their season back on track, breaking into the top eight with a win over Canterbury on the weekend. They have a mounting injury toll to key positional players with hookers Beau Falloon, Kierran Moseley and Matt Srama all out and young halfback Kane Elgey sidelined for the next three weeks with an ankle problem.
The Warriors suffered a second-half fadeout against the Sydney Roosters last week and will be desperate to atone. It's unknown if Ryan Hoffman will take the field for the Warriors because of a head knock suffered on Wednesday night, after sustaining two concussions in the previous month.
The Titans stopped a run of eight straight losses to the Vodafone Warriors when they won 32-28 at Mount Smart Stadium on Anzac Day. The overall record is 10-7 in the Vodafone Warriors’ favour while they have won five out of eight on the Gold Coast.
Although not named Sam Tomkins has traveled with the team and will no doubt be given every opportunity to to prove his fitness.
Can the Warriors replace the Titans in the Top 8? We'll have our answer soon enough.
