General New Zealand Warriors picked for NSW Residents

Three Warriors picked for the NSW Residents: Matt Allwood, Shaun Lane and - here's the reason why I'm creating this thread - Ken Maumalo.

Can someone confirm the criteria for selection in this? Is it just "they play primarily in the Intrust Super Premiership" or are residency rules involved?

Cheers.

This gets even more confusing since none of them are residing in NSW.

The New South Wales Residents rugby league team is a representative rugby league team consisting of players who reside in New South Wales, Australia. They play fixtures against Queensland Residents, often as a curtain raiser to a State of Origin game.[1] They also play against touring sides, and occasionally act as opposition in warm-up fixtures for international sides.

Maybe because they play in the New South Wales cup comp?

That's what I'm assuming. So had he not be sent to do time in the Bad Boys Room, would Mr K Hurrell have been selected? If it is that criteria, should Ali have been given a shot? I don't follow the Intrust Super Premiership enough to know, just suggesting would they be there if their form deserved it.
