I didn't know that Stuart Nash said that, but I agree to an extent.

There is a massive black market for cigarettes, I don't know of any black market for the shite that Michael Hill sells.

However corner dairies perform a service, The problem is it probably wouldn't be worth it if they couldn't sell cigarettes.

Service Stations are filling that market now, and they are not easy to ram raid.
Dairies are going to have to prepare for a life without cigarettes in their stores if plans to outlaw them are successful anyway.

I have just been listening to two left wing politicians.

One I had heard before, Chloe Swarbrick, the other I had not Julie Fairey.

Fairey is the wife of Kiwibuild team member Michael Wood and an Auckland ward councilor..

Both Fairey and Swarbrick were highly intelligent, answered questions as asked, and thankfully proved there are better politicians around than the likes of Efeseo Collins and the other motley lot that stood for mayor, including Wayne Brown.

I don't mind somebody .having a different view to me, as long as they can explain it intelligently.

Indians are notorious for running marginal (to be polite  ) businesses, including more and more fuel franchises.

Why and how they do that is standard Asian employment practice.

In my time I have got to know some of the poor bastards who work in these outfits.

Gee Bruce ... I dont normally comment on your posts ... no offence but its because of your right wing stance. (And I dont specialise in argumentative propaganda neither do I favour left or right because mum or dad did ) Yet it is refreshing to hear that you acknowledge intellegent thinking, puting bias away. Maybe like myself I vote for intelligence.
But mostly I will vote for policies rather than parties, so if those policies benefit all Kiwis not just a few, not just rich not just business but alround.. then they get my vote..

Yes, yes a typo.

This is why Ghetto coloureds like me employ you to do our proof reading.

Keep up the good work!

I won't forget it when I do your next performance appraisal.
I haven't succeeded though. Despite my efforts, your posts are still the worst.
But keep trying, its Waitangi weekend. So there is opportunity to stand above those up north by saying something intelligent.
Good luck.

Something says by his response you wont be commentating on any of his posts again! 🤣

Exactly, Maori are about 15% of the population, you cannot have 15% of the population wagging the tail of the dog.
We all know that Bruce, but we also know that white people will become less than 50% of the population in the near future! I wonder what side the Asians will side with? Because the future of NZ is Asian!

And saying a guy is a wanker because he didn’t answer the question asked, is explaining intelligently why you hold that view? That’s describing every politician alive. You may not like Collins but just to say he is shit because you said so, is in fact, shit. It seems like you’re trying to justify your vote for Brown, that you keep apologising for, by saying what a wanker Collins is with near no justification. Then to say police aren’t happy with him “because you heard”, goes with your theory about Gayford impregnating a nanny, Gayford wearing an ankle bracelet, Ardern and Gayford having a court case about something coming up. There’s no members of another party that you spout these rumours about other than labour, the party you would never vote for. The tribalism in politics is probably the most dangerous thing about it in today’s climate.

I would like to see a politician stand up and highlight some of the injustice the USA does like the Assange issue and their meddling in others affairs. Not so far as to mess up our relationship because that's counter productive but we should be telling them that some things they do aren't right, silence is support.

Wow… is this our new co-governance future - why would you bother teaching kids Te Reo in school if this is the attitude… if its seen as another way to abuse Maori…

‘Anyone can learn Te Reo and we encourage everyone to do so. But if not done well and ethically, it could be another wave of colonisation.

The taking of other people’s stuff (Te Reo) and refashioning it for our purposes is indeed colonisation.

Love this one: This is a difficult task because many non-Māori are so used to believing that, in theory at least, they can know and possess anything (if they want to and put in the effort). Respecting whakapapa then involves non-Māori in a necessary self-limitation that runs counter to their own cultural development in a capitalist, exploitative and predatory culture. You can’t comment on others culture - but I will then label your a pack of capitalist, exploitative and predatory colonisers 😂

This is the problem with design co-governance and what it would actually look like. There are a real range of views that will be hard to reconcile.

The authors are lecturers at Massey University. God help education.

I'm sure no Maori back in 1840 would have held these views.
Anyway, the solution is simple. Put a tax or tariff on all non Maori Te Reo speakers. Then its not exploitation or colonisation, its a business transaction.

And saying a guy is a wanker because he didn’t answer the question asked, is explaining intelligently why you hold that view?
Point 1...the wanker is asked a question...a clear simple question
Point 2...the wanker does not even address the question, and instead raves on a whole lot of irrelevant woke bullshit
Point 3...The questioner repeats the question, word for word...the wanker raves on with useless platitudes again.

IF YOU CANNOT ANSWER A QUESTION THEN WTF ARE YOU DOING THE FARKING INTERVIEW

This tactic is now standard in US politics, especially but not exclusively for the GOP

For example...

The interviewer asks Bruce, as owner of he club, what he is going to do about getting another prop.

Bruce replies that the club is in great shape with great morale under the new coach.

So the interviewer repeats the farking question.

Bruce repeats the farking answer.

Sheesh!!!!!

What's new about that, I thought politicians have always used deflection to waffle on about something completely irrelevant to a question they can't or won't answer.

Yes many do, but not all of them.

It is getting worse, way worse.

Donald Trump has shown the way, just no shame.

Bill English was a good example of an honest one, and like I said Chloe Swarbrick was too.
