Should be streaming somewhere soon, apparently he's involved in some occult Crowley type shit according to a review I saw.
He certainly seems to haunt people.
I was parked in his carpark waiting for somebody only for like minutes he came raging in like I had just belted his children.
When I say car park I mean a lot not a single park, and the place was empty.

okay, so can definitely confirm it’s full on.
i wouldn’t say it’s better than tickled.

it is however a wonderful character study of a manipulative sociopath (probably psychopath).

Used to spend up to seventeen hours locked in with Psychopaths. They do not interest me is the outcome of that.

However I will watch a bit of this Mr Organ show to see what his personality disorder is, heard enough to know he has one.

Sounds like the kind of movie that pisses you off, which is not why I watch movies, still, will give it a fair hearing.

If Farrier is an empathic and emotional person around these types of people then he would have that guy living in his head. It is just how people get taken in by antisocial disorders.

First mistake is kindly people try to understand them. Second mistake is they think they might be able to somehow placate or befriend them.

Third mistake is letting someone make you start to question yourself, Like all the gas lighting in theses threads I guess.

Toxic personalities are just that, human polutants, they soil you, stay away.

An old movie from the 80s that has got my interest recently from seeing reviews or discussions on is Bat*21.

A Vietnam War movie based on the real life rescue of Lt. Col. Iceal Hambleton.

Hambleton an important person in the American military hadn't seen any combat was shot down and had to survive in the jungle as the Viet Cong listened to their radio transmissions and attempted to hunt him down. He's guided by guys circling in planes.

The movie stars Gene Hackman as Hambleton and also stars Danny Glover as the pilot that helps him through.

The movie.

Details on the rescue.

The movie is actually on YouTube. Seen one video is an hour 20 and another is an hour 40. The official runtime is 105 minutes.

Here is the trailer. I do miss the older trailer with the voice over guy talking over the plot instead of just clips.

I've read the book and saw the movie on DVD a few years ago. Very well made.

There is a similar based on a true story Vietnam War flick called Rescue Dawn starring Christian Bale which is also a decent watch.

How many movies has everyone actually seen in the cinemas this year?

The only one I can remember seeing is The Batman.

In the past I'd have gone to all of the Marvel movies. This year none have really been must see so I've been comfortable waiting for them to reach Disney Plus. I've had a few others I've thought about going to see but scheduling didn't work out and they weren't something I had any fear of missing out and needing to find another date.

Coming out of the pandemic it is an interesting discussion as if you look at the movie schedule there isn't a lot out. It might be the studios still getting going again. But it must be tough going for the cinema companies.

The pandemic had studios going straight to streaming. That wasn't as successful as they thought it would be, plus you had actors pushing back as they missed out on their back end deals based on the box office.

The new Avatar needs to make close to $2 billion just to break even. There something wrong with the business model there.

I've seen some reports coming through on the sequel. One the person mentioned they spent a few minutes looking at a fish. That indicates its similar to the last one in that its a great spectacle.

The last one looked great and kicked off a 3D craze for a few years but I didn't find the story to engaging. It was my favourite movie in the 90s when Kevin Costner did it and they called it Dances with Wolves.

Moonage daydream was the first movie I’ve been to in ages when I saw it a couple of months ago. Very interesting man Bowie, a true renaissance man.

Been to a few, been doing drive in movies of late, easier (and cheaper) with kids without the need for a babysitter. Few of the blockbusters (Jurassic world, dune, Thor, black panther) have been a bit disappointing this year

Went and saw the second Avatar film not yesterday but the day before. Pretty predictable but thoroughly enjoyed it, real Pacific and Polynesian feel. Didn’t expect it to hold my attention for 3+ hours, but it did. Powerful message about our planet and what humans are doing to it in the name of greed.

A bit too ‘rinse and repeat’ of the first one for mine especially considering the time they took to make it. Still was very watchable but nothing groundbreaking which I’ve come to expect a bit with Cameron

Not a movie but a series. Has anyone watched Last Chance U the basketball series? Really cool insight to players and coaches and surrounding environments. Would be good to see something like this for our SG ball team or even NSW cup team and a look into the system of how we develop a player plus the challenges they face to try to get to the nrl

I am looking forward to seeing this one:

In the last one my heart throb Nicky Parsons got killed by a horrible bastard working for the CIA.
