General McKays Sport Trivia Competition

This will be after Wrighty's Snake League game that is currently on the go at the moment.

I noticed a few people outside of the game wanting to know if another type style of competition is going to be happening after that game is finished and no one has said anything.

So I am going to step up and try my game out on this forum. I've done it before else where and it's been a major hit.

I won't be copying Wrighty, because that's his game.

So my game is simple.

I will pick a time of day to release a set of saying 5 to 10 questions. Mostly sporting, some history and some other trivial questions and the fastest responses will get the points.

So let's say 10 people have entered. The first person with the quickest right answer to reply will get 10 points, the second person 9 points, and the third person 8 points and so on and so on.

When I decide to end the competition the person with the most points win, and if anyone else joins the game in between time the points will go up with the amount of people joining.

So for example questions.

1: Who was the Warrior's First Capitan?
2: How many league games did Greg Alexandra play for the Warriors?
3: How many times have North Queensland won the NRL?

Now if I receive answers:

1: Dean Bell
2: 37
3: Once

Then they are the right ones.

Yes if you are unsure of the answers you can google them.

It may slow you down, but then again if not many people know the answers it might just help.

So far I have 7 competitors and it looks like Wrighty's Snake game might be over by the end of the weekend. I am working with tajhay to enable to make a program where I can only see your answers and no one else can. So that's cool.

At this stage I'm looking to start this competition on Monday 10th January at 9 p.m. NZ time. So please be around if you want to make a good start to the competition.

If anyone else wants to join before then that is cool too.

But if anyone else wants to join in while the game going they must play catchup.

So there's the update.

If we are able to start on Monday at 9 p.m. I'll let you know.

I'm still thinking about that, as those guys are old. Except for Eddie, but I did grow up watching Selwyn Toogood not only on The Money or the Bag but also when he hosted Beauty and the Beast chat show. Those were the days.

Like I said above Round #1 starts tomorrow night at 9 p.m. Monday 10th.

You may have a look from the sidelines and see how you feel about it, and if you want to join for Round 2, 3, 4 or 5 or after you'll have to play catchup but the points will continue to rise.

So far we have 8 players thats:

8 points for 1st
7 for 2nd
6 for 3rd
5 for 4th
4 for 5th
3 for 6th
2 for 7th
1 for 8th

But like I said if new people join throughout the comp, the points will rise.
