When you're really sorry, you stop doing what you're doing.
Matt has been sober for a period of time now. It's one of the biggest things he will ever do, and keep on doing in his life. A program showed him now spending some of his time doing volunteer work with the disadvantaged.
The first thing people think of when Matt Lodge is mentioned will always be that night. But the changes he's made mean he's becoming someone else.
It's a YES from me.
A lot to learn in life, but it’s the lack of remorse that really bothers me.
He clearly isn’t in a long term relationship or has kids or knows much about family values.
Those of you with young family will know what I mean. They are your world and treasure. To have someone break into your house at night, in rage and no doubt threatening death, in front of your young child and wife is everyone’s worst nightmare.
How would Warrior players with young kids feel about having someone in their squad with that history. And again, a lack of remorse
The flip side, quality player and can channel that energy and rage into his game makes him a weapon.

I don't believe you understand alcoholism at all.thats not really a big sacrifice if we’re being honest
I would be more impressed if he became a priest or castrated himself, those are real sacrifices.
shit, looks like I’m a no for lodge
If alcoholism is no different to substance abuse or addiction, then it’s not a sacrifice you are making but an achievement on improving your quality of life.I don't believe you understand alcoholism at all.
So you are saying achievements come without sacrifice. Interesting concept. If alcoholism is no different to substance abuse or addiction, then it’s not a sacrifice you are making but an achievement on improving your quality of life.
To me, sacrifice is giving up something that is important and dear to you. Or giving up pleasure and luxury for something less in life.
So please educate me on what it is about alcoholism that makes it a sacrifice.
Yes, I am saying stopping from boozing is an achievement, not a sacrificeSo you are saying achievements come without sacrifice. Interesting concept.
But didn't you just say this?Sacrificing alcohol is not what I call a big sacrifice for the crime committed
Getting a warriors contract is surely karma?I don't believe he paid enough for what he did. No from me.
Anyway it's late and you have a different opinion. That's OK.
You feel that he needs to atone for his past. I'm happy to have a sober Matt for dinner. Although you might consider my cooking a suitable punishment.
One thing we both agree on is today's game wasn't a good performance and something needs to change.
