This is the same sport that let Packer play again after he literally tried to kill someone by stomping on their head. They gave him a second chance, which I would not have, but on that basis if Folau said he wouldnt do it again and said he was sorry for upsetting some people, then they would also have let him rejoin the NRL. He doesnt have to mean it any more than any other preacher or politician.

You’re correct In what you’re saying but in my defence. The last I saw was on the ABC 7-30 Report in Feb/March 2018 where the inference was he had made no effort to compensate the NY family which at the time they claimed he hadn’t made any effort. I’m the first to admit my mistake(s) that I’m wrong when it’s proven so. Without trying to make excuses for my mistake. I really don’t care a flying phuck for the Broncos though I follow Queensland in SoO.

the only thing I will say is and please this is no defence of Packer, is that he did serve time. Lodge has had fuck all punishment. I know we have all made mistakes, but nothing ever like this. Could have quite easily ended up with someone dying. His intent was to hurt someone. Are we that desperate for players in our game that we let someone of his character back in, and then to boot, considered for the captaincy. Fuck me the worlds gone mad !

But even his legal team have said in court papers reported on in Tuesday’s paper that he was wrong to post what he said about homosexual people. I understand that you are only interested in the footy player. But it seems convenient/coincidental he makes himself ‘available’ to play for Tonga. A case of ‘look at me look at me! Please! PS,I’ve just read on Stuff that he’s all but been blocked now officially from playing for Tonga. A Fifita J Taumalolo and K Woolfe are back in the fold again

The ARU sacked him because the corporate sponsor Quantas made it so, even though that action painted the CEO a hypocrite. But I deviate from the point which is selection for a national representative sporting team should not be concerned with such matters and the NRL shouldn't be able to influence the RLIF as they have via that Muppet Peter Beattie who didn't even know the names of the form teams he governs in the NRL.
What we now have is a weaker Kiwis side, a weaker MMT and a stronger case for SOO..
