Rumour Match Fixing Rumours

Seriously, if true then the said player is likely too stupid to be worth keeping around.
Agreed, Brian Billick who is a super bowl winning former NFL coach was once asked whether or not he would draft someone that tested positivef for marijuana at the scouting combine to which he replied "anyone that smokes weed before the biggest job interview of their life, knowing that a drug test is involved is not smart enough to play for me."

Regarding the player who may have been betting... I heard a rumour a few months back that one of the current squad has alcohol and gambling issues. Not going to name names, because it was passed on to me third hand and it may be totally unrelated... There are others on this forum with closer links to the team, who may know who I am referring to though.

Nielson spotting betting on forward passes to Manu.

He hasn't played in any grades for weeks…

I am thinking he is just injured. The match fixing must have been a while ago too. Danger hasn't played much first grade recently and when he has, his form has actually been improved.

I'm hoping this is just a misunderstanding.

Would this certain someone have had a run in with a NSW Champion over the weekend.....?

Does match fixing imply throwing the game? If so then it would have to be player that would be in a position to determine the outcome of a game surely which is really only the halves and maybe the hooker.

Match fixing also includes influencing the outcomes of individual plays which can be profited from.

So if you recall the Cowboys Bulldogs match fix, that was to ensure one team opened the scoring with a penalty goal. The Penalty was given away under the sticks.....both clubs were investigated.

Well i guess with ASADA dead at last they had to come up with something new didnt they - but why the warriors

If guilty of match fixing, they should be banned for life.
If they are betting on games they will be deregistered and have to spend at least a year out of all league.
This kind of stupidity is unfathomable for mine. Over and over again guys are told do not gamble on league games. Its a clear rule for all NRL employees and players.
Really hoping its not true. I wouldn't have a clue who it is, but who ever it is, is very, very, very stupid.

The OP in his second post said the rumour has it as "a promising player". So in all seriousness it can't be Nielsen. Notwithstanding his alleged alcohol and gambling problems.

[Gambling problems and aboriginal players...someone told me when we I was taking with him about Sandow a couple of years ago "they *all* have, meaning all of them in the NRL.That someone is an aboriginal man who works with addictions.]

This is the only place I've seen any mention of this. Normally anything like this is all over the internets.
No offence to whoever came in with this info but you got any source?

Where did the rumour ORIGINATE from though?
Finally someone asks the big question. I can't believe that "Warriors Supporters" would start speculating on who it could be and putting players names on public forums when this could be total bullshit.

I'm guessing it is an aussie who used to play for a team associated with a weather front.

Match fixing is different to match betting IMO.
