Player Marcelo Montoya

Thanks for putting the clips up
He looks alright .
He definitely puts himself in position to score .
I don't think he will let us down if he takes the field .
Those highlights are from under 20’s and his rookie year, he’s since had multiple injuries including reconstructed PCL.

He’s slower than Ken off the mark, makes poor reads and makes poor handling errors.

I know people think this is good cheap depth, but it really isn’t. Remember we can only select from 30 players throughout the whole season. There were better players to choose in depth positions than this guy, even on minimum top 30 salary.

The signings since Addin Fonua-Blake have really been downhill, apart from Amone.

36 tries out of 46 first grade appearances .
I think we will be seeing him .

“Marcelo is a big, fast and powerful athlete who gives great depth to our outside backs,” said Vodafone Warriors recruitment manager Peter O’Sullivan.

“He is a very good yardage player and is an accomplished try scorer proven at NRL level.

“Marcelo would be one of the most impressive players I’ve interviewed and brings a great training ethic. We have a fantastic person joining our club.”

“I’ve long been a fan of Marcelo and really look forward to coaching him,” said Vodafone Warriors head coach Nathan Brown.

“He is keen to improve as a player and has the desire and ethic we are looking for at the Vodafone Warriors.

“Marcelo can play wing and centre equally as well and is great under the high ball.

“He will provide competition to the outside back positions in our squad and we believe we can help take his game to a new level as he gets a fresh start at our club.”

The guy has been smashed by injuries the last couple of seasons, I'll give him some slack before writing him off. He also played for one of the worst sides over the past 4 years. He must be nearly on minimum, if he can hold do a job as 2nd back up winger, I don't mind him on board.

Hope he is over his injuries though, another slow winger seems a bit silly.
